This was excellent. I seasoned the meat w/ garlic powder, salt, & pepper. I used a 2 1/2 lb chuck eye roast and cooked for around 8 hours.I aslo added some soy sauce to the mix!

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
Do not over do the red vinegar! I messed up and doubled the sauce as suggested but I think the vinegar was too much for the chicken. I like the flavor a great deal but it left my mouth raw. I will definately make these again but watch my vinegar.

It was pretty good but the onion flakes and dill overpowered the dish. Next time I will half their amounts.

It was okay but I like more of the Au Gus sauce look to my roast beef. Too soupy looking. Husband agreed.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
These had a wonderful flavor and aroma. However, I have never had these so my basis for comparison is non-existant. Is the lettuce supposed to fall apart? Is it supposed to be served hot or room temp? Great taste just really messy.

Italian Amaretto Margaritas

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
Absolutely wonderful! I had several friends over for my monthly dinner and drink party. These exact margaritas are served at Olive Garden. The only thing I did different was put the amaretto in a shot glass on the side for everyone to put in their drink like Olive Garden and sliced an orange for the side of the glass. Thanks it went very well with Spinach Tomato Tortellini from this site.

One Hundred Thousand Calorie Bars

Oh good GOD!! This is a sweet tooth's dream! The only difficulty I had was patting the second half of the batter on top of all the middle ingredients. So I spooned it over and spead it out as best as I could. Made no difference in the end though. Thanks!

Shrimp Scampi V

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
Made this last night for husband and neighbors. We were extremely satisfied. I doubled the recipe and added two more cloves of garlic than called for. I used white cooking wine and was worried. After cooking it looks like the sauce is going to be way too much but it worked very well with the pasta. Everyone raved and asked for the recipe. Thanks!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
This was great. The marinade is the best part. Will use for many other recipes. We did not care for the salsa from chili pods, no flavor. The onion cilantro lime salsa was great. My butcher had no flank steak so I opted for london broil. Next time I will use a serloin. The recipe says to cook down till liquid is almost absorbed. I cooked the meat in a wok for about 7 minutes with a lot of liquid left and it was a little overcooked, just pay attention to it. We could not find cotija cheese so I used montery jack. Will make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I have had this recipe for almost a year now and finally made it. WOW!! It is excellent. I used chicken taco seasoning instead of the standard packet for beef. Used Michelob Ultra for the beer as that was all we had on hand. This was a super easy and cheap meal to prepare. Husband and his friends want it again this weekend.

Lasagna Spirals

I'm giving it a three because only one ingredient needs to be altered, it's the nutmeg. Substituting garlic next time because it is an italian recipe. In this recipe's defense my husband loves them. They are super easy to make and assemble. Will make again.
