Slow Cooker Chile Verde

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Just wonderful. I did add a can of corn (drained) and black beans (drained). I also added some salt and cumin. Just for fun next time I make this I am going to marinate the pork. I served it with tortillas.

Spinach Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Yummy! The only things I did different was I doubled the amount of rice and I used brown instead of white. This got my 8 year old (and myself) to actually eat our spinach! The 4 year old was skeptical but she ate some. DH absolutely loved it. I will be making this again I am sure.

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
This was not for us. I marinated the pork chops and then skillet fried them as did some other reviews. I added seasoning to my flour. The sauce was not good at all. We will not be making this again.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This recipe was very good. It wasn't runny at all and stayed together nicely. I will add more chili powder and garlic salt next time. Maybe cook the chicken with some Tex-joy to add more seasoning. Overall a good recipe that will definetly be put into regular rotation. Thanks!

This reminded me of a baked potato in chicken form. It was really good! I did like suggested in another review use flour and egg to bread chicken before browning in the skillet.

Bellyful of Barbecued Bananas

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I made these for a few friends on a dinner party we had but i changed it quite a bit. First off i did dip the bananas in lemon juice then dipped them in a brown sugar cinnamon cocoa powder mix. I pan fried them in a skillet with a little unsalted butter and as frying them put in some rum as well. Then made some home made whipped cream and served them both with some vanilla ice cream. They were amazing. Sort of a new twist on banana foster.

Plum Glazed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I made this for a group of friends and I must say this is the easiest i could ever imagine it could get for ribs. I always thought making ribs was complicated this was my first time making them and it was simple, and best of all came out delicious! The only changes i made is that i added about 1tsp of ginger to the sauce and some brown sugar. Loved it and will use it again!!!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2009
I made this recipe as a spur of the moment what to make meal for my boyfriend and I.We used angel hair pasta for thats all we had on hand. Like others mentioned I used sour cream but went ahead and mixed it with the cream as well. Along with the Cajun seasoning ( I used Tony Chacheres) we also coated the chicken with cayenne pepper. The pasta came out amazing. Also used corn starch as a way to thicken up the sauce.

This cake was my first attempt to make anything in a springform pan. I searched and found several contenders, but this one won out for my guys. They loved it. I personally do not like malt balls, but this recipe was delicous regardless! It was a "homerun"!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
this was a good recipe for BNB. I love the fact that the recipe yields 2 loaves, because my old recipe only makes one loaf. I'll definitely be making this again, except I'll use a smaller pan (the bread came out too rectangular, and I prefer mine more square). Other than that, it was perfect. Definitely a keeper!
