Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
These tasted wonderful and looked amazing! These may even be better than cinnabon's, they were definitely more gooey and soft which is how I prefer my cinnamon rolls. This is definitely a keeper, I love this recipe! Thank you so much for sharing!

Ice Cream Cone Treats

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
very cute and tasted good at least the ones that came out right, most of them just spilled pver the tops of the cones and made a huge mess, i tried other reviewers suggestions and placed the cones upside down over the batter and these came out much better will make again with that one modification. Thanks for the recipe!

Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
This is much more realistic than the other roasted garlic recipe I first used from this site. Did 2 hours at 300 degrees. Next time I will use a teensy bit of salt on top as well. I couldn't stop eating it when it came out of the oven!

Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
I give it 2 stars because the cooking time is WAY OFF. It took at least 3 hours for the garlic to finally roast. It was a ridiculous amount of time. I finally just took to poking it with a fork every hour.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
OMG!! I thought I was at RL's when I bit into that biscuit! WOW they are so dead on and they taste so amazing. A few modifications I made that made these awesome: while mixing dough add garlic powder onion powder and parsley in and mix in well with dough, this gives the dough that wonderful flavor of those biscuits we love so much, once the biscuits are in the oven follow recipes instructions for making the butter to go over biscuits including recommended measuerments of seasonings, about 3 to 5 min before biscuits are done brush one by one with butter, finish baking let biscuits stand for 1 minute then brush with butter again to make shiny, also watch your biscuits as these aren't supposed to brown, so you don't want the botttoms to burn because the tops still look light...hope this helps and happy baking!! Thanks for the recipe!!

Sunshine Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
My kids are gobbling this up right this minute! This was a last minute "! What's for dinner?!" recipe search - I had honey but no corn syrup, and I like the flavor alot. Not ketchup-y, but less sassypants than barbeque. Might try this with molasses the next time I have some in the house, and up the garlic powder just a bit. Since I decided to leave the skin on my bone-in thighs (tuck some sauce under the skin!), I baked this on a rack over the baking pan to allow the fat to drip off. This increased the baking time a bit, so plan accordingly. As with any sweet sauce, the stuff on the bottom of the pan is basically charcoal, so definitely line your pan with parchment - I'm very glad I did! I turned and basted every 15 minutes, added some fresh ground pepper to each side on the last turn and zapped them under the broiler for a minute at the end to just set the sauce a tiny bit more. With a brown & wild rice mixture, my kids (me too!) are very satisfied customers right now!

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
I also made some modifications based on others reviews. I used 5 eggs, 3/4 cup parmesan cheese and 3/4 cup room temperature cream, mixed all that together and then poured it on top of the pasta and mixed it well. I used a little more bacon as well and used a sweet onion and carmelized it and the minced garlic in the bacon fat. My son can't stand onion and he said the onion in this was good. I didn't have any olive oil so I sprayed the pasta with pam and tossed it to keep it from sticking...gave it a buttery taste. I will def make this again but maybe throw in some chopped tomato, sliced mushrooms and use fresh shredded parmesan instead. Maybe some asiago as well for a little different taste.
