It's good for how easy it is to throw together, but not 5 star taste.

Yummy! I bought thin cut pork cutlets, so I didn't have to pound the meat. It was so easy to make and my family enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Sausage Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
These were fantastic! I was looking for something different to feed my "crew" (husband and 4 kids all ages) for breakfast and happened to have everything I needed for this recipe in the fridge. The kids LOVED the sausage rolls...my husband isn't a big sausage eater, so I made some with ham instead of sausage, which were just as good. I also added shredded cheese to both. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing...

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Very easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly. Pounding the chicken is the key to east rolling and cooking time. Don't skimp on the wine, it gives it all the flavor. I served it with rice. Very impressive dish for company, but easy enough to make a serve for a simple weeknight dinner.

The Mushroom Steak Stuff

I tried this recipe after buying all the ingredients it called for. It wasn't difficult to make, but after reading it I thought it sounded fantastic. I was not impressed. I followed the recipe exactly, so not sure what happened...I thought it didn't have enough sauce for one thing...I might try it again though -my husband and youngest daughter both liked it. (Might just be personal taste? I love feta cheese but am not used to feta and steak...)

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
What a great recipe! I served with avocado slices and a dallop of sour cream in each bowl and the whole family loved it. I have 2 small kids, and 2 older kids, so I used Mild Rotel, cut down on the chile powder & cilantro, and it was not as spicy. (My husband and older 2 kids added a little chile powder to their bowls to spice it up a tad)...it's hard to find something that everyone likes - this is a keeper. I served it with a quick taco salad and viola, dinner was done! Hubby took leftovers to work and said it was better the next day. Thanks for the recipe!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2008
I'm glad for these reviews because I prefer buttermilk pancakes to pancakes that smell and taste sweet. Buttermilk keeps the pancake from becoming cloyingly sweet when toppings are added. This is just my family's preference tho! Anyhow, I made the recipe using 1 1/3 cup of 'homemade' buttermilk instead of milk and reduced the salt to 1/2 tsp because I used salted butter. (homemade buttermilk = 1tbs + 1/4 tsp white vinegar in a 2c glass measuring cup, then fill with milk to the 1 1/3 line. Combine and let set for 10 minutes before using.) They turned out beautiful!! Very fluffy, smooth, soft and thick enough to flip easily with a fat spatula w/out crinkling or tearing.
