I served these at a party and the guests thought they were great! I also had to cook them longer than 20 minutes. But they are worth the wait! Delicious!!

This is fabulous! I served it as an appetizer and it was a big hit! My oven was full of other appetizers so I used my gas grill to heat it up and it worked great! Thanks for the recipe! Update: I made this for my sister and she didn't have onions so we used fresh chives from her garden. Oh my was that awesome. They loved it as well.

Italian Wedding Soup I

My husband made this for me as I was sick in bed. It was delicious. He used spinach instead of escarole. The leftovers the next day was more like a casserole than a soup but was just as good. The kids loved it as well!

Oklahoma Nut Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
My grandma made this candy every Christmas. Unfortunatly I never got the recipe from her so my children missed this treat while growing up. My grandchildren will be introduced to it this year with stories about my grandma and growing up in Oklahoma. I'm so happy to find this recipe, thank you!! Now I've just got to resist the temptation to gobble it all up before Christmas.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2005
These are indeed excellent cookies. Without the cloves, they're the same cookies my grandma made for me off the back off the Quaker Oats can. These are the same cookies I've made for my children and grandchildren but we like to use allspice and all butter. The best oatmeal cookie recipe you'll ever find.

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
I used 3 fresh sweet potatoes that had been baked and mashed. The color of these rolls was beautiful. My family is avowed sweet potato haters so I didn't tell them what kind of rolls they were scarfing down at Thanksgiving dinner. It was thumbs up all around the table for the soft tasty rolls with none of them realizing they were eating the hated sweet potato. The recipe did require more flour..perhaps as much as a cup. I didn't measure..just added until I had a firm but still sticky dough. Also added 2 T of brown sugar. Used Pam on my hands while forming the rolls so the dough wouldn't stick. They rose perfectly and were gorgeous after they baked. Thanks Sherlie, loved this recipe and plan to use it again.

School Lunchroom Cafeteria Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
Even tho this made pretty good rolls, they did not taste the way I remember schoolhouse rolls. To me, they had the taste and texture of commercial white bread..and there's nothing wrong with that, it just wasn't what I was looking for.

Avocado Quick Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
I was a bit leary of this recipe but had aome avocados quickly going bad. I substituted mini chocolate chips instead of raisins to intice a picky child. I didn't mention that it was made from avocados because I'm the only one that likes them..I called it chocolate chip nut bread. I made mini loaves and we ate two at dinner. It was a huge hit with everyone. Personally, I think I would've liked it better without the chocolate chips but it was still pretty good with them. It has a creamy subtle taste that would be hard to place if you weren't aware what is in it. Love this bread, I won't hesitate to make it again. Mine had a very light green tint.

Cherry Cheese Pie II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2005
I've been making this pie for at least 30 years and it is always a hit. There are always requests for this pie on the holidays. I use one can of cherry pie filling for two pies and it is plenty. Leave about an inch wide strip around the outer edge of pie uncoverd with the cherries and it makes a very pretty presentation.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
I used this recipe to cook Cornish hens and they were absolutely delicious. I'm not sure how long it took them to cook ..I used a meat thermometer and cooked until they reached 185 degrees. I've never been much of a fan of Cornish hens but these were so good that I can't wait to cook them again.

Drip Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2005
I have tried several French dip type recipes and this one beats them all! I've used the same recipe to cook chicken and it comes out delicous too. I generally leave out the rosemary because I'm not fond of the taste. I usually try to make more broth than we'll use and save the extra in one cup container in the freezer. Then when I have a recipe that calls for beef or chicken broth, i use it. YUMMMM

Blue Ribbon Overnight Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2005
I have many roll recipes that I love but this one was so unusual I wanted to try it. After reading previous reviews which seem to be a combination of love or hate these rolls, I wasn't sure what to expect. They came out light and airy with a heavy yeast taste for me..which we loved. The dough was a joy to work with and the rolls turned out beautiful. I made 16 large crecent rolls and I think this dough would make fabulous cloverleaf rolls which I plan to try next time.
