These are fantastic! I made these for some friends and when they left, there were only two bars left. My husband quickly devoured them!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
My husband LOVED this and said its a recipe to do again. The chicken was so moist. I read other reviews and followed some of their advice. The changes I made were: ADDED 5 stips pre-cooked bacon and tore them into pieces, 1 can mild green chilies, 1/4 C sharp shredded cheddar cheese, 1 bud garlic, seasoned with garlic salt, pepper and lots of paprika. OMITTED: garlic pepper as I did not have any.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
I make this all the time. It is the best quinoa (keen-wah) dish out there. I have made it as the recipe calls and it is great. I have made it tons of other ways and it's still great. I just add what veggies I have on hand. My favorite way is to add chopped bell pepper with the onions and top with fresh chopped tomatoes, sour cream and shredded cheese. Salsa also gives it a kick even if you don't have cilantro on hand. I DO Not soak the quinoa. My husband likes this rolled into a tortilla for burritos(you could mash part of your black beans before adding them to make it thicker for wrapping up). If you have time to toast the qunioa (until it starts to pop) in a dry skillet, it adds to the flavor. Don't forget that quinoa is a complete protien and the beans and corn mix to make a complete protien for non-meat eaters. This makes a great main meal as well as side dish.

Cajun Shrimp Orecchiette

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
My husband absolutely loved this recipe and said it is a recipe that can be repeated again. I altered it a bit as my grocery store did not have Orecchiette pasta; therefore I used Davinci Gnocchi. I also added 1/2 can large artichokes (drained and quartered) the same time you add the tomatoes.

Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2007
Great1 After reading 6 reviews I cut way back on bread ( actually I used Pepperidge farms stuffing ) wrapped in in prosciutto which helped hold in the stuffing and added a saltyness. My wife wanted to know if I made any extra. Must have been good.

Oil Pie Crust

I made this recipe tonight and it was very tough. I realized why when I reviewed the ingredients. The recipe called for 2 3/4 Cups Flour...too much. The most flour to be used with 1/2 C oil should be 2 1/4 C Flour and the least amount to be used is 2 Cups. Had to throw my pie away. Becky S

German Red Cabbage

We have visited Germany 5 times and I did not have any cabbage any better than this. If you had 6 stars, that is what I would rate. I made an all German meal but it was the cabbage everyone raved obout. Even my wife who does not usually like cabbage said she would eat this any time I made it.

Very good and easy recipe. I only had seeded raspberry but frankley it added a little better look to the sauce. I used garlic flavored red wine and garlic powder to the sauce and my wife said it was one of the best sauces I have made. Ot is a keeper.

I tried both recipes & this one is so easy an old man like me can make it. Be sure to toast pecans first, actually I toast all nuts before using. Use a sturdy glass bowl and be carefual taking it out as it is very hot.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Ok, I made this for a group of 32, including myself. I had my doubts about it while making it, but I've got to tell you, the finished product wowed everyone, including myself. Next I'm going to add ham to it, as well as a bread crumb top. I gave it four stars and will certainly be making it in the future.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2005
I scaled this way down for just two. I roasted the garlic before smashing it in with the rest of the ingredients. I like spice, so I added some cayenne and paprika to warm it up a bit. The Romano cheese added a nice zing. This was a great base, I just switched some things around. Thanks for sharing!
