Hearty Ham Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Awesome! Hubby absolutely loved it and I will definetly make it again. I used 'canned' mushrooms, and swiss cheese slices instead of shredded,& half and half in place of 'cream'. I didn't feel those were huge changes in the original recipe, so decided to rate it. The happy husband was the best part. Although he usually likes whatever I fix, this dish was well recieved. Thanks for posting!! I look forward to cooking again in the future. Update:(next day) Hubby took leftovers for lunch today and called me to say "hang on to that recipe". Will try with other meats too.

these where not the best. But will do until I figure out how to make them better. Oatmeal seem too soft over done.did not like the texture of the cookie.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This isn't typical Louisiana Jambalaya, but this recipe is awesome. I loved it! My husband said too much tomato, but he went back for seconds. I didn't have celery, but didn't really miss it. This is worth a try, and will fix it again.

Slovak Stuffed Cabbage

Good recipe! I had a similar recipe and couldn't find it. This one is almost exact, except you line your pan with 1/2 sauerkraut and place the "rolls" on top, and place remaining "kraut" on top of rolls, then cover with tomato sauce/soup and add bacon on top. I make this dish for family reunions, work parties etc, and am always asked for the recipe! And my family makes sure I am bringing this for gatherings!

Black-Eyed Pea Chowder

I made this today and it was awesome! The only change I made was added a little more "spice", but would have been wonderful without it. Just personal preference. I did use diced tomatos, because didn't have stewed on hand. Will make this again, even if it's not "New Years".

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
OMG!! Awesome, was soooo good! Just finished dinner and couldn't wait to get on here and rate this recipe. Followed recipe, and did fry till crispy brown on both sides of the chop. These are so tender, I was amazed at how good they are. I did use Cream of Mushroom with Roasted Garlic, and that could make a difference on the flavor. I also made mashed potatos (added fresh garlic in the water to give it more flavor and it worked). I wish I could give it more stars. Will make this one again! Thanks!

Cheese Ravioli with Three Pepper Topping

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2008
I bought some Ravioli from Sam's,cheese and brocolli, and followed this recipe, except I only had green and orange peppers on hand, and increased the pepper flakes a bit, and added some half and half towards the end. It was awesome!! I wish I had cooked a bigger portion, even though there were only 2 of us. Will have this again! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I didn't have 2 cans of cream of chicken, so I used 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can cream of mushroom. I sauted my onions and added a tablespoon of garlic, then sauted the chicken before adding to the crockpot. I used boneless, skinless breasts, and added a can of milk in addition to the water. I also added a dash of celery seed and black pepper. WONDERFUL dish.. will be making this alot.
