Turkey Gumbo

With less oil and flour to make the roux, it's a delicious meal. My family loves this. My mother made it when I was growing up. We like to use hot sausage rolled into balls and Bisquick fried, then drained to get rid of excess oil. Garlic added along with the parsely would make this a perfect reason to have Thanksgiving any time of the year.

French Toast Corners

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
AWESOME!! Quick and easy and extremely delicious! I made a few adjustments to the standard recipe and I highly recommend them to anyone who may want that extra little "bam". To the standard recipe, I added a little squeeze of honey to the egg mixture, and a bit of nutmeg (eyeball measure). I also highly recommend using "texas toast" (each slice cut in halves only- not quarters as suggested in the original recipe). Thick slices of bread holds together better and doesn't fall apart like regular bread will. Right before serving, drizzle a bit more honey (pancake syrup is an excellent choice also) across the bread, along with some powdered sugar and (optional) your favorite topping (chopped pecans, dates, preserves, sliced bananas, or anything else your imagination can think of. Guaranteed to have everyone screaming for more!! Bon Appetit!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Tastes great. I use 2 cans of cambell's cream of mushroom w/ roasted garlic soup, 2 cans of swanson's beef broth, 1 pack Lipton onion soup mix. When only an hour or so is left to cook, i cut the roast into big chunks. Then i add potatoes and carrots. The roast is so tender after that.

Not New Orleans flavor at all. I'll stick with my own.

Excellent side dish! It's a little like hamburger helper, but it tastes fresh and without all the salt.

Crabmeat and Corn Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
This recipe is awesome. It's best when the crabmeat is as fresh as possible. (I broke open crabs myself). I also put 1/2 tsp. of liquid crab boil to add alittle more spice since I'm a southern gal.

Amish White Bread

This is a tasty and sweet white bread. It's a little dense for my taste but I think next time I'll let it rise a bit longer.

I've settled on this recipe for my basic mac and cheese. The bread crumbs really surprise most people who try it.

I will never buy A1 steak sauce again! It's that good. And its that easy to make. If you're going to go to the expense and effort of cooking a steak, why not take the last step!
