Pepperoni Bread

very fun recipe. can be made a written or you can add your favorite pizza toppings. think of it as a giant calzone. i serve exquisite pizza sauce for dipping and a salad for a great meal.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

this is a great sauce recipe. super fast and tasty. i like the heat so i cut back the honey and also add some parmasean cheese. i never have anchovy paste so i omit that step.

Strawberry Refrigerator Cake

great with either a starwberry cake mix or white. i prefer white. make sure you poke large holes in cake, it doesn't matter that it will look like you are tearing your cake up, becuse once you put strawberries on top and slice it all you will see is the beautiful strawberry goodness in the middle.

Peanut Butter Bars II

followed recipe except for the addition of nuts b/c i did not have them on hand. if you like peanut butter cookies and reese's cups, then this is the bar for you. i could prob finish the whole pan off by myself. :)

Too Much Chocolate Cake

made as is perfect. to feel a little less guilt about eating more than one slice i will normally make this using apple sauce for oil and i like the mini chips becuse they do not sink and you get little chocolate dots throughout the cake. also top with satiny chocolate glaze from ar.

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

they may not be the best looking dumpling on the block, but they sure taste good. used store bought pie dough(mrs. smith's) and added more brown sugar and cinnamon. served warm with vanilla ice cream and they were great.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

this was very good. i gave it a five star to try to get it out of the 4 posistion. if you follow a couple of the reveiws like boil orzo in broth and add more garlic and peper to taste it comes out great. i also added a little bit of white wine to chicken while cooking to add a little more depth. no tomatoes on hand, but will add next time.

this is so good. made as is 1 time, then kicked it up and made my own whipped cream. over the top with homemade whipped cream. cuts the sweetness a little bit but still leaves it so rich and yummy.

Fried Sweet Potatoes

I'm not crazy about sweet potatoes--but I made this dish for my family who does love them...and the kitchen smelled GREAT!! It's the same time-honored recipe my mom served us back in the 70s. My wife and son are my toughest food critics--and both RAVED how yummy the sweet potatoes were. I sampled a few and have to agree: This is a keeper.

Pork Chops with Mushroom Onion Gravy

Suggestion: Try cream of....asparagus in place of the cream of mushroom--it works decently. Brown the chops well--and lightly brown chunk diced onions as well..really helps out well. Overall: My dish kept the troops content--and saved me from a stay in the dog house. Next time, I'll do per directions and maybe earn another star. Watch for my update on this yummy recipe!!

Spinach and Mushroom Quesadillas

these were very good. i doubled the spinach, used 1/2 monterey jack an dhalf chedder cheese. added crushed red pepper flakes,salt and pepper to the saute. had some roma tomatoes on hand so i sliced those and added to the quesadilla as well. spread small amount of butter on tortilla and just cooked in pan. no need for oven.

Made per directions by first time chili "rookie"--and wow!! I made a BLUE RIBBON tasting recipe that had that simmering low to medium "nice heat" to it!!! Works very well w/ some "jazzed up" cornbread!! This one's a 5-star keepter.

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce

this is a great recipe to build from to suit your own taste. it seemed bland to me so i added to the filling cumin, 3/4 can hot rotel tomatoes,small can green chiles,and small can of green enchilada sauce. filled the flour tortillas with a little cheese and and the chicken filling. when i made the sauce i added another can of green enchilada sauce and remainder of rotel. poured over enchiladas and added plenty of monterey jack cheese.
