i've eaten macaroons many times before, but none as good as these! this recipe is definitely a keeper! very easy to make and i had no problems with spreading as mentioned in other reviews. humidity may have been a factor there. great recipe, thanks!

absolutely the best recipe i have for this dish. i agree with others to mix in the shredded cheese. i used colby jack, as i didn't have any mozzarella, and it was still great! a keeper for sure!!

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
Wow! Every recipe for brownies i have tried is awful, but this is a really good recipe. The brownies were very moist and chewy. I added 1 tsp. cinnamon and a pinch of cloves and nutmeg. It really brings out the chocolate flavor. I poured the batter into the pan and topped it with chopped pecans, then patted it down lightly with a fork, and baked it for about 15 min. Awesome recipe! Kudos!!!!!

This is a wonderful recipe. I have made it for my hubby several times...he wants me to make it for his lodge but it is pretty spicy and I am not sure his lodge brothers can handle it.

Thai Pork with Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight to use up some pork chops. I cut the bone out, made medallions, and fried them substituting garlic for the red pepper, and gluten-free flour for the all-purpose flour. The peanut sauce was great, and I used light coconut milk to save a few calories. Served over brown rice, with corn and green peas. Great gluten-free dinner! My 8-year-old wasn't a big fan of this.

I just took this to our office Christmas party and it was hit! I took along a can of cream cheese frosting for folks to put on if they wished - some people even made "pumpkin bread and cream cheese sandwiches".

WONDERFULL! I actually added Italian seasoned bread crumbs to the top of it before I put it in the oven, cooked it, and then put the cheese on top of that, and cooked for 10 more minutes. GLORIOUS!

Old Virginia Wassail Cider

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I have made a similar recipe for many years for Christmas Day. I poke the whole cloves on an orange and place it in the pot with all the other ingredients. I don't bring to a boil, I just let mine simmer in the slow cooker and remove the cinnamon sticks and orange before serving. I also use apple juice instead of apple cider. Personal choice. This is a Christmas tradition I started many years ago and I hope my children will continue the tradition when they are grown.

Good simple recipe. My favorite is still the brown sugar banana bread, but this is great. I added 1 tsp. vanilla, substituted applesauce for the butter and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar for the sugar called for. They are great and a little bit healthy!
