Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

I loved this recipe-easy,quick and good tasting. I did add matchstick carrots and used dried minced onions, also used reduced sodium chicken broth.My husband loved it and asked me to make for his lodge brothers.I will be making this again and agin.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Mine looked nothing like the picture. I bought an expensive BBQ sauce as recommended by one review but my sauce was very runny and lacked flavor. I shredded the chicken, added more BBQ sauce and made sandwiches. It probably made about 12 to 15 sandwiches.

Old Virginia Wassail Cider

I have made a similar recipe for many years for Christmas Day. I poke the whole cloves on an orange and place it in the pot with all the other ingredients. I don't bring to a boil, I just let mine simmer in the slow cooker and remove the cinnamon sticks and orange before serving. I also use apple juice instead of apple cider. Personal choice. This is a Christmas tradition I started many years ago and I hope my children will continue the tradition when they are grown.
