I used turkey sausage and ground turkey. I also used low fat ricoota and motzarella. It turned out great!

Ryan's Gourmet BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
I was looking for a BBQ sauce that tasted like something my old neighbor used to make, and this is so close. That was the best BBQ sauce ever, but she wouldn't give out her secret recipe. I left out the hoisin sauce. Great recipe!

Barbecued Sticky Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Sticky Ribs, but not much flavor. If you like garlic then this one's for you. The sauce has very little flavor. Forget basting, the sauce settles in the bottom of the baking pan and burns to a crisp. We tried it, but will probably not fix it again. Now it's time to move on to another BBQ recipe. Maybe we'll find one that's really good.

Sweet Potato Cranberry Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
THE BEST EVER! I loooooved this dish as did my family and friends. I love sweet potatoes and don't like the typical mashed casserole types of dishes. This was an excellent alternative! The cranberries are a perfect blend of tartness to the sweetness of the other ingredients. Will make over and over and over and over again!

Nutty Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
i made this for a baby shower and it went over quite well. the only thing i changed was adding a bit more mayonnaise, as i like my chicken salad a bit more moist. i also added a little extra almonds and apple bits to add extra crunch the day i served it. i'll definitely use it again.

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
This is a Great Recipe!! Thank You Grandma. I did like some of the other bakers. I only used 2 1/2 cups of sugar. I really creamed the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, and did the same when I added the eggs. I used 2 tsp Vanilla, 1/4 tsp Baking Powder, and no Mace. I also hand mixed in the dry ingredients, I know that over working the flour will make it tough. I did however take out about 3 cups of the batter and mixed in a 1/4 cup of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder. Then layered the plain with the chocolate and marbled them together. We loved it!! I might even add some chocolate chips to the chocolate part next time. Thanks Again, We Love It!

Mini Sweet Potato Samosas

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
Very good and easy. I sauted diced onion, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and curry poweder and mixed that into the mashed sweet potatoes. Samosas were better with a tablespoon of filling. Added chutney and a ginger mango sauce for dipping options.
