About me:
After being raised in Idaho, living in Hawaii and driving a truck across country for 15 years, I believe I have been forced to learn to like or at least tolerate every possible kind of food. Having settled in the South now, I love the family closeness and old south atmosphere of a family get together. Family get togethers down here are all about FOOD. Yummm My Favorite! Still learning to fix foods Southern Style and trying to stay healthy at the same time. Quite the challenge!

Zucchini Bread III

Reviewed on Jun. 15, 2009 by Redtamberine
This turned out okay..I've never had zucchini bread before. I split the batch between a loaf and 6 miffins. I substituted applesauce for the oil and egg whites for the eggs. I also used all whole wheat flour, used flaxsed instead of wheat germ, cut the sugar in half, and used walnuts. I may use a little more brown sugar next time...but I like my muffins not too sweet.

Lemon Pudding Cookies

Reviewed on Oct. 1, 2008 by Whats4DinnerMom
OMG! Ok, so this is the PERFECT, not-too-many-ingredients-on-hand-but-I-have-the-munchies recipe!!! My husband doesn't even like lemon cookies but he couldn't resist these. It didn't make very many, only a cookie sheets worth, so next time I'll double it. This way the grown-ups don't have to fight with the kids over these cookies! Super easy, super yummu.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed on Jun. 4, 2008 by Denice
This is a variation on a recipe that I have. I do the flour the same, and coat the wings and allow them to sit at least 30 minutes but then I fry the wings and coat them in the hot sauce/butter mixture. I have always loved this recipe cause you can adjust the heat to your comfort level.
