Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
Great recipe Tammy! I too followed some of the others suggestions and used half white and half brown sugar. I also omitted the nuts from the icing and replaced it with a small can of crushed pineapple. I topped it with toasted coconut and pecans. DELICIOUS!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
Me and my family ate this last night and it was a hit. Although I did change some things, I didn't have any ranch dressing powder so I used 1 cup of ranch dressing and half a cup of sour cream; I did not use any mayo; but I did add half a small chopped onion and half a cup of chopped mushrooms cooked in 3 tbls butter. It tured out wonderful.

My husband loves all things cream cheese and he ate about half the pan in one day! I think they are even better the next day.

Kat's Alfredo Potatoes

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
I really liked this. I really need new side dishes so I am thrilled that this was good. I used a 32oz pkg of southern style hasbrowns (chunks not shredded), I used mozzarella and mixed cheese instead of swiss. I could really taste the cayenne pepper andI will probably use less onion next time or I will cook the onion first. I used less then 1 jar of sauce to cut down on some of the calories and I would like to try and make this local. It was great a few days later to. I would like to make a meat casserole with this as a base. I may use shredded next time since some of the potato chunks were a little bland when bit into.

Pineapple Cheese Ball

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
I have a very similar recipe that always gets rave reviews. With mine, you leave out the celery, use red instead of green bell pepper, and 2 or 3 chopped green onions instead of minced onion plus a tsp. or so of season salt. One way to make it thicker is to grind an additional cup of pecans (I use my blender) and stir that into the cheese ball before shaping.

All I can say is WOW (cause I can't curse) This bread is wonderful! I've already eaten half a loaf and my diet is ruined. Anyone who gave it a bad review must not have done it right.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
I love this recipe! I am so glad to have something new for my family dinners and the only thing extra I will ever need to buy is the bacon bits and green onions because I always have all the other ingredients at all times. The ingredients blended together so well to make a delicious tasting sauce and I am glad I used a thick teriyaki sauce so that I could taste it. I noticed some people said they would add more next time because they could not taste it. Everone in my 5 person household loved it. I think I will make this for a dinner party soon. I can't wait to share it with everyone.

Buttermilk Biscuits I

These were great. I made them on the small side and it made a whole cookie sheet. They were very tasty and tender. I substituted 1/2 butter for all of the shortening. I will make these many more times.

Poppy Seed Poultry Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I've had regular poppy seed chicken casserole before and I have to say, I like it a bit better than this recipe. The thing that got me was the dill weed smell. I've made monkey bread for the dill weed before and it made me think I was eating that instead. But other than that, it was good.
