Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2007
Super yummy and moist! I don't know about the sizes of loaf pans specified in the recipe, but it perfectly fit one standard size loaf pan and then filled a muffin pan (12 muffins). I liked having the variety of a loaf and muffins.

Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly. I made two pies; one for home and one for others. Across the board the response was that the pie was good. I didn't get a great. There are some other pecan pie recipes on this site that got better reviews. I probably won't make this one again. Thank you.

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
This is so good to eat during football games. Like other reviewers we made this into sandwiches. I add sliced onions and a small container of shredded parmesan cheese . Once it's all done I shred the meat (it just falls apart) and place on hoagie rolls, top with cheese and place under the broiler until it is melted, gooey and delicious! Thanks for the post.

Valerie's Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
Sadly, this was not a hit for us. This has too much of the vanilla pudding flavor. Most of this went uneaten. We seem to prefer a marshmallow cream dip better. Thanks anyway.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
This was excellent and so easy! I pounded the breasts thin to cut down on cooking time. I only used three breasts but kept the "sauce" ingredient amounts the same. We really like this and the only thing I would do next time is cut the rosemary and thyme in half. We, too, used petite diced tomatoes and thought they were perfect. This dish tastes much more difficult than it was. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Sloppy Joes II

This is our most favorite sloppy joe recipe, we been using it for years. Very easy, and can do with what you have on hand, for a super quick dinner. We do omit the green pepper, cause no one here like it, but it still comes out gooood.

Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2007
This was very good, quick and easy. I used slices of cheese instead of shredded, I think that this works better and covers the chicken more completely. I used reduced fat, reduced sodium soup and fat free sour cream and 2% cheese and it turned out well. This is a great dish for a quick family meal. Thanks for the post.

Mushrooms in White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
I hate mushrooms but made this for hubby as a treat with his steak. I used red wine and a beef bouillion cube and omitted the cornstarch as I had to leave this on the stove a bit longer due to the steaks finishing cooking than the recipe called for. Thanks for the post.

Apricot Nectar Cake I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
This was a wonderful surprise! This was delicious and moist! Talk about easy, this definitely is. I used a bundt pan and I agree with the others that you might want to double the glaze; it's a personal preference. I never would have thought to add apricot nectar, thanks for the new experience and the post.

These are great and easy! I do exactly what the author says, I make these and keep them in the freezer and pull out as needed. I took a baggie of these to work and had to share the biscuits and the recipe. I used leftover ham that I just chopped with my PC chopper. So easy! Thanks for the post.

Tender Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
This was really good! I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts and omitted the lemon slices. One hour before serving I took the chicken out of the slow cooker, shredded it, put it back in the slow cooker and added more barbecue sauce to wet it down. This was great for sandwiches! Thanks for the post.
