This is easy, good and perfect for get togethers. I served at a BBQ and it was a hit. Thanks!

Mexican Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This was very good and very flavorful. I almost followed the recipe. I added a can of seasoned pinto beans and I added a little cheese to the meat mixture. I also used 2 boxes of the corn muffin mix. The corn bread part is where this recipe needs so tweeking, for my family. We aren't used to eating sweet cornbread so this was strange for us. Next time I'm going to make my own cornbread. Also, I used a 13x9 pan and I think 2 boxes was too much. One box might be too little, I don't know. We had to scoop the filling out from under the cornbread. We had a lot (of cornbread) left over.

Oriental Vinaigrette

This was great as written, however, I used 1/2 c. mayo and added 2 t. soy sauce and an additional dash or 2 of rice vinegar and it was awesome! Thanks!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
Ok, so I tweaked this one a bit...I used one packet of beefy onion soup mix (that's what I had). I added 1 T. Worchestershire sauce. I also used a 3 lb. port loin cut rather than the tenderloin-it just has more fat and cooks better in the slow cooker I think. Great recipe!

Italian White Bean Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I also tweaked this recipe, well not really tweak just added more veggies. I added 1 onion cut into chunks, 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks, 2 cloves garlic-chopped, an extra tomato, and I also marinated the chicken beforehand in Italian dressing. Will definately keep this one!

Flank Steak with Horseradish Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I gave this 4 stars because I didn't use the marinade, but I used the horseradish sauce. It was yummo! My husband actually asked that I add more horseradish the next go around. Definately a keeper :)

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

These are about the most similar to the popular restaurants that I have found. I don't typically like wings that are breaded first then fried so this hit the spot!

Fruited Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I would have a hard time finding a recipe that was more disappointing, I think. I am still very upset I wasted my time, ingredients, and all that money! I followed the recipe, exactly, except I wasted some very delicious peaches. I even used top of the line ingredients! It was icy, not creamy AT ALL. Not sweet and the delicious peach flavor was somewhere in there but I couldn't find it. I have no idea what kind of ice cream everyone else likes but this one produced something that was no where near what I enjoy!

This recipe was great! The only thing I recommend is adding more seasonings. I added about 1 t. dried thyme, 1 t. poultry seasoning, 1 t. garlic powder, and 1 t. of onion powder. Great and easy-thanks!

Squash Casserole II

This was a really great recipe. After making it the first time as is, I changed some things. I added 1 c. of crushed crackers into the mix along with a minced garlic clove and 1 c. cheddar cheese. On top, I put 1 c. of cheddar cheese along with about 1/2 c. of the cracker crumbs. Very great recipe!!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
It really turned out juicy! I had my doubts but it really worked. The flavor was fantastic. The skin looked so dry when I took it out of the over. The final step of basting it and letting it sit was the key to the excellent result. I will use this technique from now on!
