Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
This tasted just like a chocolate chip cookie. No complaints I love cookies! I made this just like it said but I left out the nuts because we had company coming over and wasn't sure if they liked nuts. However I did have one problem...When I took it out of the oven the middle fell. Im not sure why, it tasted great esp. with vanilla ice cream.

I made this recipe just as stated but did follow of reviewers advice and added alittle sugar and vanilla. Didn't add enough to even taste so next time I think I will omit those.

You might think I'm crazy, but just try this: use Yoplait's Pina Colado yogurt in place of plain yogurt. It makes this recipe taste FANTASTIC

I LOVE this recipe. It is waaay addictive! I did use 1/2 cup peanut butter and a whole bag of chocolate chips. I'm making this for a bake sale, so I hope this sells really well. [If not that's okay, too...I'll just have to eat it all myself ;) ]

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
Made this recipe exactly how it says and it turned out perfect. Never sifted the flour or let ingredients come to room temp. didn't add anything to it like other reviewers suggested. Pancakes turned out nice and fluffy and mine never got to thick either. Will be making these instead of store bought mix from now on. Thanks for great pancakes.

Oregano Cubed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I think these were just okay. I had been kinda making the same things but with Mrs. Dash instead of oregano and never used lemon before. Hubby said they made his tongue curl up because they were to sour. The lemon was alittle over powering for us and was a little too oily. I think I will just stick to my recipe for Mrs. Dash.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
Yum! We loved this bread it turned out so good. Made 2 loaves so we kept one and took the other to my parents house. Let me tell you this bread did not last long at all. So Good, will be making this many more times. However I did have a problem with it getting done in the middle could have been my oven?

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I know that everyones rating is high on this but my family didn't really care for it. My husband was the only one who went back for seconds. Tried it on the day I made it and the next day. I did make the extra topping and it to me tasted like a granola bar or something you would grab for a fast breakfast. Will not be making it again.

I only gave this recipe four stars because my dogs didn't go crazy over these. They did eat them but it took Roxy a few minutes before she would try it (she's very picky). However Petey likes everything and always just about swallows things whole.LOL!

Great recipe and very versatile. I make it all the time for at-home salads. I save myself from having to wash out a blender by just mixing the ingredients in a cup and leaving out the onion. Voila; instant italian!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
I made these cookies last night, we wanting somethng for dessert, and I wanted something easy to make. The recipe I have for these cookies turns out sometimes and sometimes not. So, I thought I would try this recipe. I am very pleased with this one, this is going to be my recipe for these cookies. They turned out perfect, the only thing that I did different was I used old fashion oats. Then I put them on cookie sheets and stuck them in the fridge to cool off and to set up faster. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
Okay first of all I don't know who gets 36 out of these, I got like 80. And they were plenty big enough. I made them with chocolate cake mix and vanilla whipped icing. First, I cooked my cake mix and crumbled it up and let it sit in the fridge for about an hour. Then I mixed in the icing I believe it was a 12 oz can. Let that sit in the fridge overnight, the next morning I made them into balls and let them sit in the freezer for an hour. When I went to put the almond bark on them I only got out a few at a time because if you get to many out at a time they tend to start coming apart in the chocolate. After I finished all of them I left them in the fridge until ready to serve. Everyone really liked them I made them over Christmas and they went pretty fast. Will be making them again especially at Christmas and I didn't really think they were hard to make at all just some long steps but that gives you time to work on something else while you wait.

We really enjoyed this recipe. It was great that I had everything on hand. The only thing I did different is I had venison sausage and used it. It is only me and my husband so needless to say I had plenty leftover.

Green Grape Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
So, I don't like most nuts in recipes. But I usually add them if it is called for because most of my family likes nuts. This salad was wonderful even with the pecans! I tasted it before I added the brown sugar and it was really good. But after the brown sugar it was GREAT! Can't wait to impress the family at our Christmas dinner!

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
I tried this after reading all of the good reviews. I followed it exactly and I wasn't very impressed because I'm not real fond of white chocolate(just my personal preference I guess.) And the candy cane mixed in made it pretty hard. The second time I made it I split the condensed milk in half and in two separate pans I made half with 10 oz of white chocolate and the other half with 10 oz of milk chocolate chips (with 1/2 tsp of peppermint extract in each. I followed one of the reviewers suggestions of putting several "dots" of food coloring in and only mixing 2-3 times (just enough to swirl.) I then unevenly poured the white chocolate in a saran wrap lined casserole dish and then unevenly poured the chocolate over and around the white chocolate. I swirled a little and spread the fudge evenly. I sprinkled the crushed candy cane on top. It was so good!! The mixture of the milk chocolate and the fudge was perfect for my taste (the white fudge only was too much for me and I could taste the condensed milk a little) Though it kinda gets on my nerves when people review recipes only to have changed them completely, I had to post this. I will see what my friends think of it tomorrow.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I love this soup, but can't make it very often because it is addicting. I add more bacon though because my hubby and I like the bacon chunks. And because the potatoes are baked first, it gives the potato chunks are silkier than boiled...if that makes sense. I've made this with part skim milk and part cream and it is still good, but it saves some calories.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
I made 2 batches of these today to take to our Thanksgiving dinners. Everyone loves them. I did use bread machine flour instead of all purpose and it turned out great. I made a batch on Monday to try them before I took them anywhere and my husband ate 4 at one time, he said they tasted better than a certain resturants rolls. Thanks for the great recipe. I will be making these often.
