I made this to feed about 40 people. They all said it was great! I wouldn't change a thing in the recipe except maybe add a little (and I mean little) liquid smoke. Gives it a kick!

not the best i've ever had. i'm glad i cut the sugar in half. otherwise, it would have been too sweet.

Fantastic! Needed just a little more salt in the seasoning. But overall, great authentic Nawlin's flavor!

Good cobbler taste! It didn't turn out as well as I expected, though. I should have melted the butter and drizzled it on top of the mix.

Peanut Butter Crispies II

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
great recipe! made a few changes since i didn't have all the ingredients handy. i mixed in some corn flakes with what rice krispies i had. i only had 3/4 cup of karo syrup so i added a 1/4 cup maple syrup. also added m & m's to the mix. it turned out great! you can barely taste the maple syrup and the candies added a little extra kick. they sold in less than 10 minutes at the bake sale. everybody loved them!

Creole Cornbread Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
I'm sorry but this was waaayyy too spicy. Other than that, it was good. I would leave out the cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce and just put in the green chiles the next time I make it. I'd take out the thyme and put in sage and add celery along with the veggies.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
Good pie! To cut down on the sugar, I added just one cup of powdered sugar to the peanut butter. It turned out sweet enough without being so rich and could spread easier without it being so thick. Finished results was great and it taste just like a Reese's peanut butter cup pie.

JENNIE-O's Best Ever Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
I tried this recipe because I had bought ground turkey on a whim at the supermarket and I love meatloaf. But when I made this, neither I nor my family was very impressed. It was a little bland. If I ever make it again I will add something extra to it. Until then I will stick with beef.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
I'm giving this 5 stars on the faith that I know this sauce would be excellent because the meatballs in the recipe were the best I've ever had. I was looking for a good meatball recipe and came across this one. I would have made the sauce but I didn't have all the ingredients on hand that I needed (so I had to use jar sauce). But these meatballs were amazing. They were so flavorful and juicy. I had so much pasta and sauce left but not a single meatball. Next time I will have to double the meatballs for my family.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
Great delicious recipe. I hate boxed au gratin potatoes but these were delicious. And easy. Followed recipe exactly except did not cook the full hour and half because of time constraints - I cut the cook time by 30 minutes and I took the foil off and broiled for a few minutes until top was lightly browned and they tasted great. Thanks for the recipe.
