Lemon Rosemary Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
I grilled the salmon on cedar planks with no problem. This was a quick and very good recipe that doesn't take away from the salmon's natural flavor. I added a little brown sugar on top of the salmon before adding the rosemarry and lemon, gave it a nice glaze on top with some added sweetness.

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
Me and one of my friends grill salmon a lot, and this is one the best recipes yet. It had great flavor from the soy sauce and brown sugar. I normally put a couple slices of lemon on mine while I grill it, to put a little more lemon flavor in it.

This is a very good recipe! I used fat free Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk and added ground cloves to my pie. It turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Turkey Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Like others, I modified this recipe a bit (even though I know it's best to prepare acc to directions the first time). I added sauteed onion and doubled the chicken broth and enchilada sauces. I added 2 cans of Rotel tomatoes and a can each of black beans and shoepeg corn. I, too, used 1% milk instead of half and half. My husband really likes this soup, though it's more stew-like in consistency. Next time I'll add less tortillas and one can of diced tomatoes and a single can of Rotel tomatoes. So that means that I'm definitely preparing it again...probably next Thanksgiving! :)

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Okay on the first try, but on the 2nd try I added an onion and baby carrots, and substituted another can of beef broth for the cream of mushroom soup. This suited my family better, and made a delicious broth base for the gravy.

Easy to make and a nice side dish for veggie soup or beef stew. Thought it would be too much onion, but a small to medium onion is just right!

Poppy Seed Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
it won't be dry if you add 1 stick melted butter and 1/2 cup milk to the soup/sour cream mixture; it'll have more flavor is you use either a whole chicken or 3 or 4 chicken breasts with the bone and skin and put a bay leaf or two in while you're boiling your chicken; also add poppyseeds to the soup and sour cream mixture instead of to the crust.

Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2007
I too took this recipe and changed it up a bit. I added some carrots, used chicken breast instead of the canned meat. And just used Mexican mix cheese, and only put enough to cover the top of it, along with salt and pepper. Oh, and only half a cup of milk. That seemed to satisfy me and my husband. A very good and simple recipe that can be modified as the person cooking it prefers.
