Tasty Meat Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
i thought this was rather boring actually, and there were a lot of things that could have been improved upon to make a tastier recipe. also the vegetables need to be cooked slightly before putting in the pie or they will be hard.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
This was good, but so sweet, which is unavoidable with monkey bread. that's just how it is!

Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
I was looking for a recipe similar to Wind and Willow beer bread. This was pretty close but the texture was not quite there. I added a cup of sugar since i like a sweeter bread. Looking forward working with the texture and trying different beers.

Totally Groovy Chocolate Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
This is a great starting point for a chocolate fondue recipe. I omitted the cinnamon and coffee and used mint Bailey's instead of cherry brandy. As others suggested, I doubled the amount of heavy cream (plus a little more towards the end.)

Spaghetti Sauce III

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
I enjoyed this sauce, but changed a few things. I used lean ground turkey instead of beef, added a whole onion, and lots of fresh garlic. I also added additional dry spices like Italian seasoning and thyme to amp up the flavor. As others suggested, I added brown sugar and doubled the amount of tomato paste. Thanks for posting this recipe!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
these are so good!!! i've tried several variations, but my favorite is a craisin/walnut variation. and once i actually ran out of honey for my recipe so i substitued syrup instead and they were delicious!!! the only downside to making these is that i always seem to eat way more than enough at one time... ;-)

My husband is a peanut butter freak everything has to be peanut butter. I messed up by trying this recipe. Every other week the question is "honey, when are you making the peanut butter ice cream again?"

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2006
My daughter says, "Great! Great! Great!" She said it tastes just like Red Lobster or the Oliver Garden. I think it tastes better because it's fresh, the shrimp are bigger, and I made it myself! Bravo!

These are a bit time consuming, but well worth it, when you see them disappear so fast from the appetizer try!! Definately not low fat, however!
