Slow Cooker Carolina BBQ

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
Yummy! I mixed half of the meat with the sauce and ate the other half with regular bbq sauce for the kids. Both were delicious. Will definitely make again.

Fra Diavolo Sauce With Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
This was good. I wasn't sure if the recipe was calling for canned tomatoes or fresh so I used canned and added two fresh ones. I think I pureed the tomatoes too much because there weren't any chunks and I like it when there are some chunks of tomato in there. I also only used shrimp because that is what I had. It was delicious and I will definitely be making again.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I made these and sent them to work with my husband. The office raved about them. Per other reviews, I chilled the base 20 minutes before pouring on the topping, then sliced into squares after about 25 minutes in the fridge. The only thing I will do different next time is let them sit at room temp at least 20 minutes before serving (the base layer is slightly grainy coming right from the fridge), and I will cut them in smaller bars, as they are RICH.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
After reading all of the reviews, I layered this in my slow cooker (greased)in the following order. Diced raw chicken (I sprinkled with thyme and black pepper), swiss, 1/4 cup jack cheese, soup (Campbell's chicken and herbs) and wine mixture (wine used inst. of milk), then tossed a 1/2 c. melted butter with a bag of dry stove top stuffing and sprinkled it on top. I cooked it on low for 4 hours, and it was perfect. Mixed up a second one and my hubby cooked it in the breakroom at work from 8 to 12 for an employee lunch. Everyone loved it, too!! Thank you!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
10 stars!!! This was so good and so easy. I used K.C. Masterpiece Honey BBQ sauce and followed the recipes exactly. I made bbq sandwiches and had cole slaw with them and wanted more today, but we ate it all last night! Will definitely be adding to our rotation. I am pretty sure this will freeze well also. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
This was a great recipe! I didn't grill but instead broiled them in the oven. They turned out great. I made some couscous and served the shrimp over the couscous with some of the sauce. I listened to other reviews and only put about 1/4 t salt if that. Will definitely make again.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
The best! I used two boxes instant French Vanilla pudding mix, and omitted the vanilla extract. Husband would like it more banana-y, so next time (probably for Easter), I will use one french vanilla and one banana flavored pudding. Thanks so much!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
This was delicious! The market was out of the dried sun-dried tomatoes, so I had to use the ones in the the liquid. Honestly, it was so good I don't think I will try the dried ones next time. I also just baked the chicken. This will definitely be made again at our house!

I'm sorry, but we just didn't care for this. I was determined to eat it anyway and I just couldn't. I followed the recipe exactly and there was nothing wrong with it, the flavors just didn't taste good together for us. Thanks anyway.

Gyros Burgers

These were great! I didn't change the recipe at all and they turned out delicious. I think next time I might crumble the meat after cooking instead of making patties. I think it would be easier to put into pitas.

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
These were so good and they were easy too. I have put off making egg rolls for years b/c I thought they would be hard to make. I cooked the pork and then when that was finished, I threw in the cabbage and carrots - they kind-of steamed in the heat of the pork. I didn't want them to overcook. Then I stuffed the wrappers and fried. Be sure not to have the grease too hot. I had to use regular bottled ginger b/c I didn't have powdered ginger - it turned out fine. Thanks!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
I give this recipe 10 stars! My 4 year old daughter and I made these together and they came out PERFECT! I have been longing for a chocolate chip cookie that was chewy and not too sweet and this is the one! I hate the flavor of chewy chips ahoy so I had given up on store bought long ago. Thanks!

Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
this recipe did not work well for me. I guess because I did not scald the milk. It never would get done no matter how long it stayed in the oven. Finally I mashed up the custard to expose the slimy parts to see if it would get done. I'll try later but I rather leave the pie making to my grandma.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This was perfect! Not too cheesy, just right! I only had one potato and was cooking just for me and my daughter so I rescaled the measurements and it was the perfect amount. I also boiled the potatoes and sauteed the onion in olive oil ahead of time because of time constraints. Thanks for the recipe!

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Holy cow this was spicy!!! And I love spicy, but this was too much. Maybe I had too much rub for my size of tenderloin. I am giving it 5 stars because the flavor was amazing. I can't wait to try it again and lessen the spice. Thanks so much!

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Great recipe. I made it just as directed....only 3 TBLSP of cornstarch and it set perfectly. The pudding did not take long to boil and get thick. I split one recipe into two pie shells and topped with whipped topping, but would be great with meringue.
