Chili Rick's

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
I made this chili awhile back when I was searching for a different "type" of chili recipe than my traditional. With the addition of the sausage & bacon with the ground beef..this chili is off the charts delicious! I served mine with home made cornbread and topped off with a mild cheddar cheese.. trust me with so much flavor you only need a mild cheese. It's flavorful and filling..in fact, it made so much, that I have leftovers in the freezer! A true 5-star recipe.

Spicy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
These were absolutely delish! I made them on Monday evening for my boyfriend and myself & they were just wonderful! I made enough to be able to have leftovers the next day and they were just as good the next day and I am not a leftovers kinda person! I did make one small adjustment I didn't use the tomato's with the green chili for fear with the jalapeno already in the recipe that it would be too hot, but other than that I didn't change a thing! WONDERFUL!!!

Very good corn pudding recipe. If you do not have the corn starch, use all purpose flour instead.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2009
This was delicious! I made it as a dessert to compliment my Easter feast. Let me tell ya, I just had ANOTHER bowl of it, and its just spectacular the longer it sits in the fridge! I did however make a few changes as requested in the other reviews. I used 1- 3 oz box of french vanilla jell-o & 1/2 box banana cream jell-o, 1/2 the can of sweet milk, 2 cups of milk and other than that I followed the recipe. I made a huge bowl full of this creamy, sweet goodness and I will definitely make it again in the future! YUM-O-RIOUS!!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
My boyfriend loves pecan pie so I decided to make him one for Thanksgiving..needless to say this pie was DELICIOUS! I even had a piece this morning for breakfast! it was so easy to whip up and the crust came out perfectly..I did take the other viewers advice to start out on one temp and then lower to 300 and I think that made it! I wish I would've had a camera it came out just lovely!

I love this recipe it is so easy, I have made these several more times after the intial try..the first time I made these I added walnuts & pecans along with the chocolate chips and the last time I made these I added some Heath baking chips, they were good as well but I think I will just stick to the recipe as called for. GREAT COOKIES!

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
I used 3 sticks of butter instead of the shortening and not as many oats (I just winged it because I was too lazy to measure it but I KNOW it wasn't 3 cups)...I used a bit more peanut butter and even added a large handful of chocolate chips.....I was suprised at how flat they came out but perhaps they are supposed to be like that? Anyway, there's is something very wonderful about these cookies....since they are made with whole wheat flour maybe....they just taste wonderful and you know they are that much better for you. My one year old is beggin for more that is for sure!

Grandma VanDoren's White Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
EXCELLENT all around sandwich bread! This is my second attempt at making bread with my new mixer and I am so pleased with how this turned out! The inside is tender and moist while the crust is absolutely perfect! I can honestly say this is the best all around bread recipe I have ever used! I followed the recipe to a tee after down sizing it to 1/3 all with absolutely no problem what so ever.

All in all it is a good recipe but to add some flavor I always add onion to it...just slice them up in O's and add it to the soup mixture before adding it to the oven..just a little tip :)

Peanut Butter Dreams

These are soooo good.. I couldn't stop eatting them! The only thing I didn't like was after about a day in the fridge the crispies didn't set to well in the peanut butter and they didn't really get mushy but they weren't crispy.. other than that these are wonderful! Thanks for the recipe...I saved it ;)

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2006
WOW! I have never baked cookies before, but I have to say that I did a darn good job with these! Bill who isn't a sweet tooth actually asked for a second one! Very light and soft cookie! Puffs up excellently and isn't overly sweet! Found that to get a crisper cookie, the dough needs to be rolled out thinner. Thank you for the great recipe!
