Ashley's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
I definitely reccomend more flour in this recipe. They were very thin when i took them out of the oven and fell apart. But they were some of the most delicious cookies ever! (When you make these, be sure to spread them WAY apart or else you'll end up with a cookie pie!!)

Banana and Strawberry Smoothie

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
I made this smoothie twice; the first time, I did it exactly like the recipe said and it wasn't creamy enough. The cinnamon made it taste weird. The next time I left out the cinnamon, and added some vanilla ice cream, cool whip, and sugar and still didn't taste right.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Its a quick way to have really really good chicken. Its the best that I've ever eaten. I doubled the butter and lemon juice, and added some parsley to it which just made it even better!!! It was great!

Seafood Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2005
This recipe was awesome! This was my first try at any kind of mexican food and it was great. I used boiled, shredded chicken breast instead of crab meat though because that's what I had. I also added cilantro, a little cayenne pepper, a little Franks hot sauce, and a little extra 1/2 and 1/2 to the sauce. I also added a little green pepper and 1 clove of garlic to the onion mixture. I was just surprised at how awesome this turned out! Thanks Cathy!

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2005
This was fabulous. I threw in some small diced tomatoes with italian seasoning that I had left over, and also a few shakes of red pepper flakes for just a LITTLE bit of spice. It made sort of a rose sauce b/c of the tomatoes but it was excellent!

I used red skinned potatoes and added a lot more pepper because I just like my stew to be very peppery. It was really good though!

This was really good! I left out the raisins because neither I nor my roommate like them. She actually doesn't like red onions but she thought it was awesome!

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2005
This was really good! Both of my parents are on low carb diets so I didn't put it over rice, but that would have been good! I just used shrimp and no crawfish because it would have been too hard to find. It didn't really taste like our favorite Cajun restaurant's etouffe, but it was still very very good!

Hearty Bean Chowder

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2005
I think I might have burnt my roux a little because the whole soup tasted kind of funky, not horrible, just a little...off. I don't think that's the recipe's fault, it's mine. Other than that it was a good soup. I exchanged one can of dark red kidney beans for one of the cans of white beans just to give it a little more color. I cut up the bacon into bits before I cooked them and that made them crisp up a lot nicer. I also put it over cooked brown rice. I'm going to try to make this again in a few weeks, and hopefully I won't mess it up again.

April's Chicken Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
This was a great starter recipe! I added sauted zucchini, onion, and frozen peas, and a little cayenne pepper for just a little slow heat. I tried sushi for the first time about a week ago so I used calrose rice. Next time I think I'll use brown though.
