Macadamia Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
These bars are delicious! I made them in a 9 x 13 baking pan because I needed a bigger batch. I doubled the crust recipe and I did 1 1/2 times the filling recipe. It took about 26 minutes in my oven for the filling to set but I started at 20 minutes and then baked the additional time in 3 minute increments. They turned out great and my husband loves them. The lemon flavor of the filling is a great compliment to the crust. I used fresh lemon zest and fresh lemon juice. They have a nice tang. Thanks for the recipe.

Broccoli Casserole III

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I got this recipes from my aunt years ago...My husband loves broccoli, and this is my favorite way to make it. It's so easy! I always make sure to drain my broccoli very well, so the cheese doesn't come out watery.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
This was great, I made it for Thanksgiving last night and thought my brother-in-law was going to lick the dish clean! I used equal amounts of balsamic and soy, and I do want to try this on green beans, as another reviewer mentioned.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
I have made this a few times now. It is definitely better if you roast the garlic like other reviewers have said. I also used less butter than it called for and added some milk instead. Other than those changes, this recipe is perfect!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
I made this last night for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit! This was my first time making turkey, so I was nervous...But my brother-in-law even said that it's better than his mother's turkey! Thanks Robin!

Cola Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This recipe was absolutely wonderful! I was skeptical b/c of the simplistic ingredients but it was wonderful. I did use a few of the suggestions from other reviewers. I floured and fried up the chops before putting them in the sauce to thicken the sauce, it also reduced the cooking time to about 40 minutes. I also used 1/2 ketchup and 1/2 barbecue sauce. I added onions and 2 cloves of garlic minced up. This was great, my husband and kid's loved it! I will definitely be making this soon:) Thanks for such a great recipe!

Classic Thanksgiving Dressing With Parsley, Sage and Thyme

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
This recipe was so much like what my Grandmother made, I just had to try it! I did use extra celery like another reviewer mentioned... I added 1 extra egg to hold the dressing together better, and rolled the dressing into fist-sized balls. Then I baked them on a greased cookie sheet @ 350º for 30 minutes. My husband thinks this is absolutely the best stuffing ever!

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
Wow! This was really super. The whole family just loved it. It really had so much flavor. I did cook the chicken with garlic in chicken stock with the onions so they were soft. Already added it to my recipe box.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
I made this for my husband and my in-laws last night...They loved it! It is sooo much better than anything you can get in a restaurant! It's really inexpensive to make, too....I have enough cheese to make this a couple more times before the end of the month, and definitely plan to! If you follow the recipe it does make a LOT of dip, which would be great for parties. If you plan to serve it as an appetizer though I would scale it down a few servings. I will be keeping this recipe for a very, very long time.

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Like others I tweaked it a bit, I added some garlic, green peppers, brown sugar and the beer I used was Bud Light and the Barbeque sauce was Jack Daniels. This dish was wonderful! My husband and kids really really enjoyed this. It was super easy and tasted really tasty. Fantastic!

Apple Pie

This was my first pie and it turned out perfect. Great recipe. I did use 6 cups of apple instead of 7 and I followed someone's suggestion of lowering temp after 25 minutes. People were fighting over the last piece.

Montgomery Pie

I'm not a fan of molasses, so I didn't care much for the taste. I made this pie for my grandparents, who also have a Pennsylvania Dutch background. They loved it, and asked me to make it for them again soon.
