I feel these were missing something. The filling didn't have much taste when it was hot. Tasted better cold. My husband is German and had never heard of these. I heard they were polish instead.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
I have been making sausage balls for many years and I have always added an envelope of dry onion soup mix with the bisquick. This is a good basic recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Cajun Cabbage

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
I've made this along time ago but the original recipe calls for cheese, which was to be added before baking. This recipe does not tell you when to add the cabbage so I added it along with the rice and tomato. I still like it better with the cheese. Without it, it tasted like something was missing.

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I was a little disappointed in the marbling. I guess I should have layered the two and then pulled a knife through, also the pumpkin part was not sweet enough. I added pumpkin pie spice instead of the ones listed and the flavor was great, but I will change it a little next time.

Cranberry Salad III

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
This was very good, made it in a jello mold and served on Thanksgiving, I don't usually eat Cranberry sauce (although I serve it) and this one changed my mind, it was delicious. Other reviewers are right you need to have the cream cheese at room temp to spread. Was easy to prepare in advance and refridgerate until you use.

Loved this pie! I made it for Thanksgiving this year and it was highly complimented. Reminded me of the Derby Pies I've had in KY.

Peanut Butter Balls IV

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
I liked the recipe but made a few changes,I added 1/2 Cup more peanut butter and used less maple extract (1/4 tsp) the peanut butter mixture was a little grainy instead of creamy so I added 1 tsp milk and warmed up slightly in microwave before rolling in balls and dipping in chocolate.

Ranch-Style Party Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
When I found this recipe I was not sure how the cottage cheese was going to turn out in the dip, but was pleasantly suprised. Next time I'll buy the small curd though. I loved the flavors and so did my guest

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
I ran across this recipe when looking for a dressing to add to sliced cucumbers this summer. I did make it with buttermilk instead of sourcream and diced dried onions instead of onion powder. It was wonderful, and since have replaced my favorite bottled Ranch dressing with this. Thanks for the recipe!

South Carolina She-Crab Soup

I live in Virginia and they serve a She-Crab soup here in the restraunts and this recipe is very close to the ones I have had, but I did add the old bay seasoning and served it with buttered french bread.

Spicy Italian Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
I make this recipe all the time, the only changes to it I made are no artichokes (not a fan) and roasted red peppers in olive oil(drained) instead of the chopped ones called for. Turns out perfect everytime and my friends and family always ask for the recipe.

Guacamole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
I usually buy my guacamole at the store already made, but was in the mood for something fresher this time. I am very glad I did. I did substitute the fresh tomato with salsa (drained). Perfect with chips or as a salad with lettuce and diced tomato.

Spring Rolls

I made these for my last office party and needless to say they thought I bought them at a restraunt. I added the Chinese five spice (1 1/2 tsp) to the meat while cooking and served with garlic soy sauce. Great recipe!

I made this with our turkey last year and it will be made again this year. My kids do not normally eat cranberries but they loved this stuffing. PS.. I did cook it inside the turkey and used a meat thermometer to make sure it was done.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

This really was a great barbeque. Just make sure you get the right cut of meat. I spiced it up a little with hot sauce, but other than that I followed the recipe and it turned out perfect. Will make again.

Sausage Casserole

I really liked this dish. Didn't change a thing except I used sharp cheddar. Took others advice and baked the hashbrown layer by itself first. Next time I will be sure to bake on bottom rack of oven for better browning of hashbrowns. A keeper, thanks!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I loved the popcorn! But, I had a hard time with the recipe. First it stuck to the baking sheets I used when I put it in the oven when some of the caramel melted off, second I used microwave popcorn and the unpopped kernals were no fun to remove. But other than that it was delicious.

This turned out pretty good, I didn't add the mustard until last hour of cooking. I used premade meatballs and browned them in the skillet first then put in Slow Cooker for about 5 1/2 hrs.
