Delicious!! Mine didn't come out quite as fluffy as the ones in the picture but I think it's because I took them out too early. Still incredibly delicious!!! Better than any you could buy in the store.

Love this recipe! Very easy and tasty. Only change I made was to toast the pine nuts before I added them. No leftovers and my sister-in-law asked for the recipe.

I love these! I also use the precooked bacon as it makes it much crispier, quicker.

Mom's Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2007
Tips from a Dixie darlin on how to make the biscuits rise: 1) Use 1/2 teaspoon of baking saod (instead of 1/4 as the recipe calls for) and 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder. 2) Roll the dough out to 3/4" to 1" thickness rather than 1/2" and use a large biscuit cutter (about 3" in diameter). 3) For really authentic Southern biscuits, add 1/2 stick of melted butter to the batter and then brush tops with remaining 1/2 stick of butter when they come out of the oven. 4) Don't bother trying to count calories or fat grams. Just enjoy with homemade sausage gravy!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

My children loved this receipe as is. Did not need to change a thing. I did use strips of chicken breasts instead of cubes, that might have made a difference in the runniness others have mentioned. This will go in my rotation of meals.

Roasted Pork Loin

Great recipe!!! Did not use the wine - have kids and I don't like the taste in my food, but the garlic, rosemary and olive oil added just the right seasonings. I did make sure to take the roast out the miunte it hit 160 and it was extremely juicy. My kids loved it. This one is a keeper.

Excellent. Comes out perfect everytime. Very moist and very rich. No need for icing, a simple dusting with powdered sugar dresses it up nicely. Otherwise this is so easy and taste spectacular.

These were tasty. Not my favorite pancake but very good and easy although we had trouble getting the pancakes done all the way through to the middle. We used splenda for the sugar. The honey syrup was fantastic.

Ladyfingers

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
After readings some the other reviews, I thought I'd share a couple of little tips I learned from the pastry chef at Joel's (a five star restaurant in Atlanta) to keep ladyfingers from spreading too much when baking. First make sure you've sifted the flour really well before using. Second, keep an eye on the egg whites and don't over-whip them. Third, GENTLY fold the egg yolks into the whites. Again, don't over whip! Finally, place a cookie cutter on the parchment paper or silpat and pipe the mixture into the cookie cutter until it's about halfway full. Lift the cookie cutter up and move it approximately 1 inch away and repeat. You end up with nice round absorbent ladyfingers that are perfect for tiramisu. Hope this helps!

No-Fuss Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
This was awesome!! I probably wouldn't call it "no-fuss" because there was some prep work involved but it wasn't as overwhelming as some of the other reviewers seem to have made it out to be. The flavor was extraordinary and even pleased my very very picky husband who especially loved the gravy and he NEVER likes gravy! I used boneless skinless chicken breast because that is what we like and what we had and it seemed to cook a little faster than the recommended time but overall the recipe is right on. I doubled the flour/spice mixture because my chicken breasts were large and I tend to be a hearty batterer. This will definatly be a family favorite. It was great with mashed potatoes, a great comfort food!

Love these! Advance prep & "freezer to oven" ease is a big plus if you're hosting. Substitute lump crab meat instead of canned for an special occasion. Pairs well with semi-sweet sparkling wine like Freixenet Extra Dry.

The Best Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
I have made a version of this recipe before using these exact ingridients with great results. However after two attempts at this recipe I ended up with a lumpy glue like mess. I'm sure it had to be something I did wrong because everyone else seemed to have great results. I tried a similar recipe on this site two nights later with fantastic results so who knows!
