Different Chicken Cordon Bleu

This was absolutely fabulous! The sauce was excellent over my french green beans. Next time, though, I'll reduce the salt.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I scaled the recipe down to 4 servings to fit my slow cooker, but it still wasn't what I expected. The meat was overdone from cooking so long, and there was too much liquid left, even though I didn't add any in the morning. I was very disappointed.

Ham and Swiss Casserole

The casserole turned out kind of dry and salty. Next time I will cover while baking and omit the salt. Maybe adding some garlic or other spices will give it a little punch.

The Best Meatloaf

Even my dad (who said he doesn't like meatloaf) loved this recipe! Instead of making a loaf, I used two muffin pans, which created perfect little mini-loaves.

Mini Ham And Cheese Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
So good! I spread the dressing on the bottom of the rolls instead of drizzling on top. I had bought two packages of 24-count rolls thinking they were 12-count, but there was plenty of meat, cheese, and dressing both trays. Instead of making each sandwich individually, I inverted the tray, sliced the whole block in half, spread on the dressing, layered ham and cheese, put the top back on, then popped the whole block back in the tray for baking. So simple!!

Yum! I substituted EggBeaters, and used cheese slices to form a "crust" since I didn't have shredded Muenster. It tasted as good as it smelled!!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

I've made this chili with ground turkey and lean ground beef. Have to say I prefer the beef. I left out the black beans, added a can of drained diced tomatoes, and topped with sour cream and shredded cheddar. Perfect for a cold winter night!

BUSH'S® Zesty Black Bean Quesadillas With Cilantro Sour Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
The first time I made this recipe, I used 2 10" tortillas folded in half. The second time I used 4 8" tortillas, which made flipping & cutting a mess. I left out the feta cheese (didn't have any) and used Pace salsa with Cilantro. I've made this using fresh and dried cilantro, and fresh is definitely the way to go!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
Great alternative to regular chili! I wish there was a 4.5 star rating. I love this recipe and so does my husband, but I have to tweak it a little to get it right for us. I've made this many times over the last couple years and the first couple of times, it was way too spicy, but we liked it enough to try it again (and again). I use fresh instead of canned jalapenos (one or two, depending on size) and take out the membranes and most of the seeds when I mince it up. I also cut back on the cayenne pepper - using about 1/2 tsp (maybe a little more). And I don't like to stir in the cheese (other reviewers' advice too) in the pot, but let each person put some on top.
