Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I thought these were just ok but my husband really liked it. I actually doubled dipped the pork chop and cooked them in an iron skillet. They were not soggy. I thought they were a little bland though. I think this is a good base but it needs something more.

Pumpkin Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
The cake was very moist and turned out beautiful. I followed others' suggestions and reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and used an entire 15 oz can of pumpkin. I don't really care for pumpkin, but my family enjoyed it for Thanksgiving. Not too sweet. I used a rum cream cheese glaze, which can be found as part of another pumpkin cake on this site.

Holiday Pumpkin Cake with Rum-Cream Cheese Glaze

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This review is for the glaze only - The consistency of this glaze was incredible! It stayed exactly where I wanted it. I ended up adding no more than 1 extra tsp of milk, a few drops at a time. The flavor was also really good. My family really enjoyed it on a pumpkin cake (different recipe). I would definitely use this glaze for other cakes and vary it with vanilla or almond extracts.

Cheese Crispies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Fantastic! I followed the recipe exactly. These were not greasy at all... I'm not sure why they are turning out that way for others. I did use fine pre-shredded sharp cheddar. I think this might have helped the greasy factor.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
As if this one needs another review... it was wonderfu! Quick, easy and delicious. The only thing I did different was to also add a little pepper to the meat and seasoned the meat during the browning stage- gave the meat more flavor.

This is the best apple pie I have ever made. followed the recipe exactly. Did not use the crust part though I was pressed for time. I used store crust. We went up to ellajay (north GA Mtns.) to the apple farms and brought back a heepen helpen of apples. I used Arkansas Black apples which are a perfect baking apple. Turned out wonderful. Thanks

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

My husband and I ate one bowl and threw the rest out. Maybe it was my fault but I tried to follow the recipe exactly. This is the first time I've ever left a negative review, but this soup was not good.

Baked Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
this was a very good corn pudding. I did add some chopped onion and red pepper, in which I saute them in the butter. Also used my own corn and creamed corn that I had frozen from my garden. Since I used fresh corn from the garden I halved the sugar which my husband said I should have left the sugar out completely. It turned out really good.

Russian Tea II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
I HAVE MADE THIS TEA FOR YEARS AND IT IS DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE! I EVEN USED WHEN I WAS PREGNANT TO CURB THE MORNING SICKNESS...WHEN YOU HAVE A COLD OR COUGH OR SORE THROAT, THIS IS ALWAYS A GREAT REMEDY...TRY IT, YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!! AS SOME OF THE OTHER REVIEWERS NOTED IT IS ALSO A PERFECT AND INEXPENSIVE CHRISTMAS GIFT...AND YOU CAN USE SPLENDA IN THE PLACE OF SUGAR AND IT TASTES THE SAME. I WILL TRY ADDING THE CANDIES THIS YEAR AS I LOVE THE LEMONY AND SPICY FLAVORS OF BOTH...BUT, I MAY TRY LAYERING JUST FOR A PLEASING EFFECT WHEN GIVING AS GIFTS IN THE GLASS JARS!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
This cake is amazing! I think I could live off of it! I made it exactly as the recipe says, except the nuts. I made it in a bundt pan and cooked 20 min at 350, 40 min at 325. After cooling in pan 10 minutes, it came out perfect. Next time I would try using two packs of butterscotch pudding as I couldn't really pick out that individual flavor. YUM!

Very yummy! I followed the recipe exactly except for adding 1/2 cup of buttermilk to thin it out. I think the addition of the buttermilk "made" it! Thank you Parker71!

The Perfect Cream Cheese Pie Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I really don't like giving bad reviews, but I followed this recipe to the letter, and this dough was very sticky and I found it impossible to roll it out. No matter how much flour I used, it stuck to the counter and to my rolling pin. I tried adding a little more flour, to the dough, but that only made it tear easily. I tried chilling it, and it got crumbly. I was disappointed. Perhaps others will have better luck than I did, but I won't be trying this again.

Chicken Tikka Masala

This is one of my favorite recipes. It is so easy and so delicious. I don't change a thing about it because it is so good just the way it is. I also think that the oven broiler method is still really good. It doesn't give the same smokey flavor as the grill, but it is still delicious.

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
This recipe was just 'okay.' It was not very flavorful- pretty bland, actually. I give it two stars only for the ease of preparation. My husband said "something is missing" and I have to agree. I will stick with my own meatball recipe. It takes longer, but tastes much better.
