Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
made this for dinner and it was really good. I used sweet italian turkey sausage and half and half instead of cream. This was very good. I accidentally added more pepper flakes than I wanted to but it was still good. very easy! A keeper :)

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I made this as written but only used half of the liquid smoke. It DEFINATELY improves with time in the fridge so make this at least two days in advance from when you want to use it. I didnt like the taste of it when I made it but two days later it tasted good. If I make it again, I will probably double it.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
Mmm....i just made this to go with meatloaf sandwiches last nite. It was really good. I let it soak for about 30 minutes before serving so the dressing would absorb into the cabbage

Beer Dip I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
Ive been wanting to make this recipe for a while and finally realized I had the stuff for it in my pantry and fridge. This was pretty good. I used a wheat beer and sharp cheddar cheese. This is VERY good with pretzels. This might be nice warm....all ooey and gooey. I might try that next time. Thanks for the recipe! :)

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I made this for dinner last night. I used a Shiraz for the wine and it turned out very nice. I followed what everyone else did and turned the broth into a yummy gravy for my mashed potatos. Served it with garlic roasted broccoli and I was in heaven! :) I will make this again.

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Just made this so I could use up some watermelon that I had in my fridge. Unfortunately, my watermelon had seeds, which made the process a lot longer. Get seedless or you will have to strain the seeds out like I did. This drink is really refreshing. It reminds me of aqua frescas that I get here in the summertime. I will make this again, but I might cheat and use lemonade concentrate :) Thanks for a great recipe!

i made this and it was very easy and good. I only used 3 chicken breasts since it is just me and the DH. Otherwise it would have been bbq chicken for a week and a half! :) very easy and a good change from bbq pork :)

Shrimpcargot

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
I finally made this after waiting a while. I cheated and used precooked shrimp just because thats what i had. I also found some HUGE mushrooms at the grocery store that cost a little more but made the shrimp fit better. I did cook the mushrooms for 10 minutes before stuffing them. This was DELISH and easy and so good. It was my dinner :)

Refried Beans Without the Refry

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Made this to use up a pound of black beans that I found in my pantry. I did soak the beans overnight before putting in the crockpot. My house smelled like beans all day! This was a very easy and economical way to make dried beans, I will be using this technique again. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
I made this yesterday since it was too hot to cook. I only used 1/4 of the ranch seasoning since I was worried it would be too salty. I used Texas Pete Buffalo Chicken Sauce as well. This was very good and very easy to make. My chicken was small so it only took about 5 hours to cook on low. Once I shredded them I put it all back in the crockpot with some unsalted butter so it would absorb some of the sauce. My husband liked this alot and we will be using the leftovers for wraps and salads. Thank you for a easy recipe!!!!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
Ive been meaning to make this forever and finally made it last night for game night. I used half mayo and half sour cream (not a huge mayo person). I also used pickles jalapenos since those are the ones I liked. This was SO good. I would definately make this again for a potluck, party or game day. It goes fast so you need lots of crackers :)

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
just made this for dinner on a busy weekend. It was very easy. I think next time I will try to find the already sliced pepperoncini since I had whole ones in my fridge. They worked fine but getting the stems off later was kind of annoying. I did think this was good and my DH who isnt a crockpot lover declared it tasty. I will probably make this again. Thanks for a great and easy recipe! :)

Roasted Tomatoes with Garlic

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
just made this tonite. It was very easy. My tomatoes were very ripe because there was a LOT of juice in my pan....I think I will use the tomatos for bruschetta later and on pizza. It made the garlic hunks to die for :)

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: May 17, 2009
I made this as written because I didnt want to tamper with the recipe since Ive never made french toast before. This came out VERY puffy. Almost like a egg-puff casserole. The french toast was very soft and did not have a crispy outside. My DH said it was ok but didnt like the technique for making it. I did like the carmel sauce a lot on the top of it...made it taste good. I dont think I will make this again...its kind of weird.

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
I had some serious logistal issues with the falafel. We added about 2 cups of bread crumbs and the first batch that we fried completely fell apart in the pan. After added another cup of breadcrumbs to the remaining ones they were fine. I think maybe one onion is too much. This was tasty and good but I will have to modify it if I make it again.
