Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2009
this was okay. I think the type of ham I bought made the soup taste funny. It does need a LOT of black pepper. I also added a little parsley. :)

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I was impressed with how awesome they looked, then I ate one and wow! yum! So moist and delicious. I made a few changes based on reviews: canola oil instead of butter in the batter, add cinnamon and nutmeg to batter, extra cinnamon on top. Also added more banana. Will definitely make them again.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Great Recipe! Used vanilla soy milk and substituted two heaping teaspoons of pumpkin pie mix for the spices as that is all I had on hand. Next time I plan to add some finely chopped walnuts. Will be making again and again....served with sugar free syrup and a side of turkey sausage links for a great hearty/healthy weekend breakfast!

Smokin' Scovilles Turkey Chili

This was the best chili I ever made. I left out the habanero since I sort of forgot to buy it :) I also omitted the liquid smoke. This was so good. Has excellent flavor. I will totally make this again :) Thanks for a great recipe!

Excellent. Tasty, quick, and easy. However, I do not recommend this if you are on a diet! :-)

These were very easy to make and taste great! I did use mini muffin pans and froze the pb cups as well. the only problem i had was getting them out of the pan to put on the cooling rack without smearing chocolate everywhere. A great recipe!

Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie II

This was very good! I made it as written except for the vegemite which I couldnt find. I did add a 1/2 cup of diced sauted mushrooms. I also had to use more water since my lentils soaked up a lot of it. My DH went back for 3 helpings. Definately a keeper! :)

Light and Fluffy Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
This was pretty good. I followed it exactly as written except I omitted the onions (don't like egg and onion mixed). Next time I would use less spinach and more egg, and maybe add some feta cheese since it goes so well with spinach.

Lebanese Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
This wasn't bad. I followed someone else's advice and broiled the last 5 minutes. I also sprinkled some parsley on top. It was a bit too lemony for my family's taste, so if I make it again I'll reduce the lemon juice and maybe substitute a little chicken stock.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I made this as written but only used half of the liquid smoke. It DEFINATELY improves with time in the fridge so make this at least two days in advance from when you want to use it. I didnt like the taste of it when I made it but two days later it tasted good. If I make it again, I will probably double it.

Mmm....i just made this to go with meatloaf sandwiches last nite. It was really good. I let it soak for about 30 minutes before serving so the dressing would absorb into the cabbage

Ive been wanting to make this recipe for a while and finally realized I had the stuff for it in my pantry and fridge. This was pretty good. I used a wheat beer and sharp cheddar cheese. This is VERY good with pretzels. This might be nice warm....all ooey and gooey. I might try that next time. Thanks for the recipe! :)

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

I made this for dinner last night. I used a Shiraz for the wine and it turned out very nice. I followed what everyone else did and turned the broth into a yummy gravy for my mashed potatos. Served it with garlic roasted broccoli and I was in heaven! :) I will make this again.

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Just made this so I could use up some watermelon that I had in my fridge. Unfortunately, my watermelon had seeds, which made the process a lot longer. Get seedless or you will have to strain the seeds out like I did. This drink is really refreshing. It reminds me of aqua frescas that I get here in the summertime. I will make this again, but I might cheat and use lemonade concentrate :) Thanks for a great recipe!
