Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
These are really good for bran muffins, and they were better than I expected them to be. I've made these a few times, but never completely following the recipe--I always omit the raisins, and make a different flavor. This is a great base recipe to use and then experiment with different flavor combinations! I have made banana cinnamon, blueberry, and cranberry orange muffins, all of which have been great!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2007
I thought this salad was really good! I added an extra clove of garlic, and doubled the pecans. And I used goat cheese in my salad, since I don't like blue cheese, but I kept the blue cheese in my husband's salad--he loved it the recipe too! We will definitely be making this again!

Ham with Honey and Brown Sugar Glaze

I didn't have a ham slice, so I used ham chunks. It was very easy to fix, and my family liked it a lot.

Baked Honey Nut Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
My family liked this quite a lot. Since dh doesn't like pecans that much, he said that the pecan taste was too strong, so I'll cut back on that next time.

Baked Chicken with Apple Stuffing

My family liked this a lot. I used one cup apple juice and one cup water, as recommended by others. My family said it was plenty sweet like that.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
The taste of this stroganoff was very good but I did have to thicken it up a bit because it was so watery. I would also use much more meat next time. There was hardly enough to go around. Overall good recipe but needs a few alterations to be perfect.

Bacon Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
This was a hit with my family. Dh, my three sons, and my dad loved it. Dd didn't like it, but she just doesn't like barbecue sauce. I rarely eat meat, so I didn't try it. I used six chicken breast halves, about 2/3 lb of bacon (my chicken was completely covered), and approximately 3/4 bottle of Kraft Honey Hickory Smoke barbecue sauce. When I took the dish out of the oven and saw the bacon, I thought it wouldn't get eaten, because my family doesn't usually like chewy bacon. I was shocked when my pickiest eater said that he loved the bacon and begged me to fix the recipe again soon. Next time I'll precook the bacon about halfway, though.

This recipe was good and easy to make....time consuming but simple. I do agree with the other reviews and this recipe does need just a little bit more flavor & doing a half pork half beef just might do the trick. Thanks for the great recipe!

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

This recipe was absolutely WONDERFUL!! I cooked it exactly as said & my family LOVED it. Personally, I am not a big salt fan and this was a little on the salty side. Next time I would use a low sodium soy or less soy & little more water but as is, this recipe is SUPER easy & got SUPER ratings from the family!! Thank you so much!!

Very easy & quick to make, however very basic as well. Next time I will add some spices to the crust to liven it up. This was by far the easiest and quickest pizza dough I've ever made & I will definetly use this recipe again with a few additions of my own! Thank you!
