African Sweet Potato and Peanut Soup

My husband and I enjoyed this, though my daughter didn't care for it. The soup is rich and exotic, very filling. I doubled the amount of peanut butter and left out the cilantro because I don't like it. Garnished with a wedge of lime instead. I also used canned tomatoes, Rotel...since I didn't have fresh. Great stuff!

Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

These are a knockout! The whole family scarfed them up during half-time. I used half jalapenos and half banana peppers because that is what the garden gave me! I used hot Italian sausage and I am glad I did, otherwise the banana pepper ones wouldn't have had enough heat. What worked for me was placing the filled peppers on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. 400* for about 15-20 min. Perfection and minimal cleanup. The only thing that would have made any improvement would have been a win by those poor Redskins. Give this recipe a try, you won't be disapointed!

Lit'l Smokies® Mummy Dogs

Oh, these mini-mummies are so good! They were quick and easy to make. I used the 'seamless' crescent roll dough and cut it into strips while my daughter wrapped the lit'l smokies. Wanted to snap a picture but as soon as they hit the table on Halloween night, they were scarfed up by kids and grown-ups alike. LOVE this recipe!
