We all loved loved loved these. Just added an extra half tsp of salt otherwise did everything else as stated. I will never buy the stuff at the store again.

Tzatziki Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
Very Good. Gave it 4 stars because I added shredded cucumber (don't forget to put in a towel and squeeze out extra water). Without the cucumbers, it was missing something. Once I added the cucumbers, it was 5 stars. I also used Greek Yogurt.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
We just love this recipe. I always modify according to another review I read when I first made this dish almost 2 years ago. 6 eggs, 1 cup cream, 1 1/4 cup milk. I make it just a bit healthier by adding ground flax seeds to the egg mixture for the kids. Once the caramel topping goes on, you can't even tell the flax is there. 10 stars!

French Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Yummy. I added 1/2 tsp more of salt and used my kitchenaid to mix and knead. It was a cinch and came out perfect. I didn't have any eggs, so I didn't brush the top with egg white. Still came out crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender and chewy on the inside. I did throw in a handful of ice cubes while the bread was baking which may have helped crisp up the crust without the egg/water mixture. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I think I made this as written about a year ago and wasn't too impressed by the blobs of cream cheese throughout the dish. I came back to it today and tried again given some of the mods by other reviewers and was wowed by what the slight changes did to the recipe. I only used 8 eggs and whipped the cream cheese with some confectioners sugar for a while then spread on the bread cubes. I also used homemade bread from this site called "amish white bread." Fabulous!!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Pretty good, but I wasn't blown away by it. Was missing something so I added some garlic salt. Didn't have much time today, but next time I'll try searing the meat first (rubbed with salt, pepper and garlic) before adding to the crockpot.

Amish White Bread

Fabulous! The only change is that I decrease the sugar to 1/2 cup. My husband, who rarely eats bread, loves this bread recipe. I make this atleast once a week. I bake both loaves and freeze one - It freezes very well. Since I found this recipe we don't buy bread at the grocery store anymore!

Mrs. Fields Cookie Recipe II

If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would. I have been making my cookies this way for many, many years and I just love them. Use a coffee grinder to powderize the oatmeal. So easy. I do about 1/2 cup at a time and dump into a bowl as I go. It literally takes a minute. The oatmeal really makes these special.

This was good considering how simple it was. I did as other reviewers suggested, I added a layer of green beans on the bottom of the dish. Turned out great. It is not real often where you can have a one course meal. :)

Four-Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
Oh, this is deeeelicious! I opted out the salt, but HAD to add it at the end. I don't like swiss, blue, or parmesan cheese so I used 1 1/2 cup mexican cheese, 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, and 1 1/2 cup Italian bend cheese. My mozzarella went bad last minute. I am totally making this for thanksgiving and I think even the pickiest will consider this a classic.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Soooo Good!!! My kids LOVE these. Found this recipe about 3 weeks ago and have made it 4x's so far. I do have to decrease the flour to between 4 to 4.5 cups and because my oven cooks super fast and at a higher temp than most, I cook mine at 350 for 8 minutes. They come out perfect each time - brown not burned at the bottom and perfectly chewy in the inside. When I put them in the baking soda solution I wait until they float before I remove them - maybe 8 seconds. And as soon as they come out of the oven I brush them with melted butter. YUM. Oh, and these freeze very well. Through out the weekdays, I just pull the pretzels out and warm for 30 seconds in the microwave for a great afterschool snack for the kiddos.

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
Great fall recipe! And the best part is that you can play around with the ingredients to use what you already have. I even threw in some elbow macaroni (to use it up) and it turned out great. Typically soups like this taste better the next day - but by then, my macaroni had sucked up a lot of the liquid, keep this in mind so you can account for it. :)

Awesome Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
This recipe is really good! I changed the recipe a little bit, though. Here's how: Instead of using pepperoni I used just ham. I also used parmesan ranch dressing and took out the veggies, since my kids are not a big fan of them! I would suggest taking out the veggies if you have kids who don't like them.

Yummo! These are out of this world. The only adjustment I made to this was that I added three diced cloves of garlic to the mixture. We are big garlic lovers in this house. Tasted just like Red Lobster.

Absolutely Sinful Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2008
These cookies were awesome!!!! The first time I made them they were completely gone after the 1st day! Really thick and chocolatey and you will definetly need a glass of milk beside you. You should not eat more than 2 cookies at a time because if you do you will get a stomach ache. (I've been there before!)
