i'm a chocoholic but this recipe didn't really suit my taste nor my husband's. i'm giving it a two bc0z of the go0d texture but if it was just the taste, i'll give it a one.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Would've given it a 5 if only the pie-crust didn't crumble.. Although i did modify the recipe a bit since i only had to make it for me and hubby. What I did was I cut the chicken and veggies in half. Then for the sauce I used a can of Condensed chicken soup, mix it with an equal amount of evaporated milk, added 1/3 cup of flour, onion p0wder, salt and pepper to taste.. A definite keeper!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

First time using this recipe. Only one change, used chicken broth instead of water. The turkey was juicy, tender and had a great flavor. If I don't stop picking at it each time I open the fridge, there will not be enough left to make soup.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Good soup. I've never had the soup at Olive Garden, so can not compare. I will make again but, will not add the cream and sausage unitl after the kale is done. The sausage cooked too long and lost some of it's flavor. Also, I used hot Itialian turkey sausage.

Bread Pudding Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
Like another reviewer, I used cinnamon raisin bread. I so wanted to love this pie, but didn't. It is missing something. I'm going to try again and add two tsp of vanilla and a dash of nutmeg. Maybe serve with vanilla sauce or whiskey sauce. It was better the second day. I served it with carmel sauce.
