Mrs. Fields Cookie Recipe II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would. I have been making my cookies this way for many, many years and I just love them. Use a coffee grinder to powderize the oatmeal. So easy. I do about 1/2 cup at a time and dump into a bowl as I go. It literally takes a minute. The oatmeal really makes these special.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2008
Soooo Good!!! My kids LOVE these. Found this recipe about 3 weeks ago and have made it 4x's so far. I do have to decrease the flour to between 4 to 4.5 cups and because my oven cooks super fast and at a higher temp than most, I cook mine at 350 for 8 minutes. They come out perfect each time - brown not burned at the bottom and perfectly chewy in the inside. When I put them in the baking soda solution I wait until they float before I remove them - maybe 8 seconds. And as soon as they come out of the oven I brush them with melted butter. YUM. Oh, and these freeze very well. Through out the weekdays, I just pull the pretzels out and warm for 30 seconds in the microwave for a great afterschool snack for the kiddos.

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers

This was delicious! It was so easy to make, and my husband, children, and I enjoyed it. I did add about a teaspoon of minced garlic and topped each serving off with shredded Asiago cheese, but it would have been wonderful without. Thanks for sharing!

You MUST add vanilla to this. Also, try topped with thawed sweetened red raspberries for a Red Raspberry Russian Cream dessert. It is FANTASTIC. My mom used to make it for special occasions only, and now I make it for my kids.

FABULOUS recipe. I was worried that not having a marinated piece of meat would produce subpar results but this recipe is easy, flavorful, and requires no marination! I added a couple shots of worcestershire and garlic powder to the sauce. Served with boiled potatoes and green beans and carrots and drizzled the sauce on everything. Yum.

This is soooo good! I bake it yesterday morning (and today it's the "Featured Recipe" - too cool) for Teacher Appreciation Week, and it received rave reviews. One teacher even confiscated some to take home for her husband.

i forgot the boiling water!!!!! after putting the batter into the oven i realized i left out the boiling water!!! shocker though...it was really delicious even without but a bit dry. i won't hold that against this recipe though. the water probably would have made it moister.

made these twice so far...they are amazing!!! one of the only cookies i have found that are perfectly crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside...mmm...if your batter is a bit runny (which mine were)just add a bit more flour to thicken it up (as told by previous reviewer).

Arrabbiata Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
We ran it through the blender and added cream, now we make it once a week. My fiance that doesn't like pasta sauce in general or if he does use pasta sauce he puts a little bit on - with this he pours it on thick and mixes the whole bowl through to get as much sauce exposure as possib.e. It can get really spicy fast, so watch the red pepper. This is a household favorite now.

Phenomenal Chicken and Pasta in Creamy Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
I've prepared this dish several times. I've used store bought pesto instead of preparing it myself, even with store bought it came out great. I've also tried it without the chicken, I just added more sun-dried tomatoes. Just delicious. We serve this recipe with the white wine we use in it, always compliments it beautifully.

Golden Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2007
omg!! this is my second time making these and they're AMAZING and have a mouth watering crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. i made 2 batches (1 makes 23 palm sized cookie)& both batches baked perfectly in exactly10 minutes, with no alterations to the recipe except that i creamed the sugars and butter first, added the egg and vanilla to that, then mixed that mixture into the sifted flour, baking soda and salt. i never thought using separate bowls for dry/wet ingredients wouldmake a difference but it really does. YOU MUST TRY THIS RECIPE!! DONE RIGHT, YOU WILL LOVE THEM (promise) ps- makes the greatest cookie dough! enjoy:)
