Very good recipe. I like the little triangles. It visually looks like a lot! Very tasty too. I added powdered sugar and strawberries. The vanilla extract was a must too.

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
This is THE BEST recipe for blueberry muffins with the crumb topping. I have tried 2 others from this site and by far this is my favorite. The extra tip about adding a bit of flower to the blueberries prior to mixing was very helpful. Thanks for the recipe!!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
More like a 3 1/2 as written for me. If you just love the taste of meat (like my hubby) you will probably like this as is. It just had a very basic meat taste to me and I like my stuff with more flavor so the second time I made this I added to the patties: 1/4 onion minced, 1 or 2 tablespoons A1 bold and spicy sauce, maybe 1/3 packet mushroom and onion gravy packet and salt and pepper to taste. I always cook a little tiny bit before cooking them all to make sure seasonings are perfect. I doubled the gravy and added about another 1/3 package of the onion and mushroom gravy packet once my gravy had thickened up and before I put the patties back in. I also added a bit garlic powder to the gravy. 5 stars and even my husband said it was delicious. Served over Mashed Potatoes.

Yummy - the kids and I really liked this. Usually I make with Tahini, but because I was out I tried this version. Added some lemon juice and extra garlic and reduced the cumin some.

Greek Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Cut this recipe in half to serve my family and it went over pretty well. I only used a quarter of a bulb of fennel (my fennel must have been huge so go with your gut instincts on this). I sauteed the fennel and shallots in some olive oil and garlic and salt/pepper until they were nice and soft. I didn't want to bite into hard bits of fennel, plus cooking the fennel mellows out the flavor. I added greek seasoning (mccormick brand) instead of just the oregano - the greek seasoning had oregano in it. Ofcourse I seasoned with salt and pepper to my liking. I always cook a tiny bit before making my patties to taste the seasonings. I served in Pita Bread. For the Aioli mayo - I always add a bit of lemon juice and salt.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
Great Recipe. I like the idea of a simple syrup, and usually do it this way but in a pinch, like when my impatient kids want lemonade NOW I just mix it all up in a pitcher and skip the simple syrup step. FYI, In a major pinch I have used bottled lemon juice and it's definitely not as good, but it's worked (use slightly less than called for and adjust to your taste).

Awesome basic chicken salad. I omitted the nuts since we have a nut allergy in our home. But never the less, it was delicious! I say "was" because I devoured mine!

Ham and Cheese Pasta Bake

Great idea! Since I thought I'd play around with it, I used an alfredo sauce instead of a tomato base, and instead of regular ham, I went with a mix of prosciutto and pancetta. The wife absolutely loved it and I think this one is a keeper!

Easy Spinach Souffle

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
I liked this a lot and so did my family. I didn't give it five stars since i made some adjustments to what we liked. First, I doubled the sauce and halved the spinach. Second, i threw it all in the blender and pureed it. Don't forget to season and season well!!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

so so so good. Used to frost One Bowl Chocolate Cake III also on this site. I actually didn't have enough cocoa powder for what the recipe called for, but it still tasted superb - like a wendy's frosty!! yummy! I will make again with the full recommended cocoa powder amount, which I'm sure will taste just as good if not better!

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2009
My complaints are in regards to the gravy. I was unsure about using cream of mushroom but went ahead and made the recipe as instructed the only change was I added some celery and a little water (water was unneccessary). It wasn't a beefy thick gravy, it was murky and I had to doctor it up with sugar, salt, and pepper to make it taste decent. There is actually a recipe on the Lipton Soup Mix that I'd try, basically this recipe sans the cream of mushroom. Chuck is always good so no complaints about the roast itself. In regards to the people who had to add liquid, I believe it's probably because you don't have a tight enough fitting lid, because the roast itself created A LOT of juices, no additional liquid required at all...

Even the kids loved these. Subbed unseasoned Panko for breadcrumbs since I didn't have any on hand and seasoned with greek seasoning, garlic salt and pepper. Didn't add dill or celery seed by choice, but forgot the garlic by accident. It was still super.
