Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed on Aug. 25, 2008 by TN_AT_HEART
I am a rib lover, and my husband is not so much. So I was a little selfish and made ribs anyway! I changed a few things: Omitted the chili sause Used 2.5 C bbq sauce Used 1/2 C ketchup Browned on grill for 10 mins each side and cut to 3 rib incremets before putting in the slow cooker. I mixed all the ingredients in the slow cooker as hubby was browing, then added the cut up ribs. Cooked only about 6 hours, then placed in oven for 10 minutes in baking pan on 300'. Very tender and yummy, but didn't crumble off the bone. Hubby was stuffed and enjoyed them very much!!

Red Velvet Cake IV

Reviewed on Aug. 17, 2008 by Joanne
Very good! Will make it again. I just iced it and had the 1st piece. Next time I will make it 4 layers as each layer rose to full layer height. Icing is good, but I prefer a thicker sweater icing (only think keeping it from 5*). This is not real sweet, but is very very light and fluffy - not bad, I just have a terrible sweet-tooth! Very easy to make. It's a keeper!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed on May 21, 2008 by TN_AT_HEART
I was excited to make these because I LOVE cheese sticks. I had everything lined up like a conveyor line, and I used tongs to do the dipping in all of the batters. There really was not a big mess. I let them cook for about 40 seconds in the deep fryer, and fried them in peanut oil. I used a second set of tongs to lay them on the paper towel to cool. In the end I thought they were ok. My husband didn't like them much, but my 7 yr old ate 6 of them. I used string cheese, maybe next time I will use a block of mozzerella and the taste will be a little better. I will probably make again!! Thanks for sharing!!
