Great Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
I'm very confused by the few good reviews this recipe got, how could it possibly work out? I suspect that there was a technical error or a slip of the mind by the poster with this one...?

Shepherd's Pie VI

This is a tasty and easy recipe to adapt. It's especially good to have on hand when you have left over mashed potatoes. We don't like mixed vegies, so I just substituted corn.

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 15, 2008
Very good! I used 1/2 cups oats and omitted the oat bran...all else as stated. They were not a wow but I would make them again as they are good wholesome ingredients. Thank you for the recipe.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This is a really good recipe, made it exactly as the recipe stated. I did think it was weird to have sour cream in it but it turned out delish! thank you for the recipe. I have tried it multiple times and it is as good with cottage cheese or sour cream.

Wonton Wrappers

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I wanted to make the wontons I get at my local chinese place but I couldn't find wonton wrappers anywhere. These fit the bill perfectly, they tasted just right. Be careful to roll the dough out thin enough other wise the wontons will not get crispy in the middle when fried. I gave this recipe 4 stars because since it is so labor intesive I will buy them next time.

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
I used this gorp as a shower appetizer. It really makes a lot! It was enjoyed by guests and the white chocolate was pretty. I thought it tasted good but not amazing. I think I'd like to try it with milk chocolate.

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
This is delicious and so easy to prepare! I made a fruit salad and then served the fruit dip in a halved pineapple. I put the fruit in a cup and guests put a dollop of dip on the top.

Mocha Punch

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
This was delicious. I used a combination of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Make sure you combine ingredients about 30 minutes ahead of serving so the ice cream has a chance to melt a little. Also, try not to use big scoops of ice cream. It makes it a little difficult to serve.

Coconut Cake IV

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
My new favorite cake! I've made cupcakes with this twice. The first time I made a coconut cream cheese frosting which was a bit much. The second time I used chocolate frosting - delicious! My 3 year son prefers them plain and will eat 3 cupcakes in a row. People who said they didn't like coconut loved these. Amazing, wonderful flavor and texture!

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
These turned out beautifully! I read the comments about the oven temperature issues and the biscotti being too soft. So, I followed the suggestion of turning the temp down to 350 on the first bake and 300 on the second. After flipping the cut biscotti on the second bake (after 8 minutes) I baked the other side for 10. It seemed like the biscotti was too soft, so I turned the oven off and left them in for another 5 minutes. They came out the perfect consistency. Took them to work and they were gone in a couple of hours. Good stuff!

Apple Spice Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This rice was AWESOME. My boyfriend and I both loved it. I will be making this again and again! I used brown rice, and since the bag called for 2C liquid, I used a whole 16-oz can of chicken broth. I also didn't have an onion so I subbed 1T onion powder. My kitchen smelled so good.
