About me:
I'm a college student at the University of South Carolina. I'm especially excited about this coming school year because I finally have an apartment with a full kitchen! No more microwave pasta! My mother is an amazing cook and taught me almost everything I know, especially in regard to Southern cooking. I started baking when I was big enough to stand on a chair and use the hand-held mixer. My cooking debut came much later, around thirteen or fourteen. Now, I often invite my dorm friends over to my mom's house on the weekend and cook for them. It makes me feel better that they're getting at least one decent meal a week, and they always enjoy free food.

Conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread)

Reviewed on May 6, 2008 by EMMA37
Very sweet and very yummy! I sent these to a spanish/english class my husband helps out with and they were gone, gone, gone! :-) I made the dough in the bread machine and the topping by hand. Excellent!!!!! My kids asked me to make them again.....soon! Thanks for the recipe!

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed on May 3, 2008 by Beckycooks
I used this gorp as a shower appetizer. It really makes a lot! It was enjoyed by guests and the white chocolate was pretty. I thought it tasted good but not amazing. I think I'd like to try it with milk chocolate.

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed on May 3, 2008 by Beckycooks
This is delicious and so easy to prepare! I made a fruit salad and then served the fruit dip in a halved pineapple. I put the fruit in a cup and guests put a dollop of dip on the top.
