About me:
On a warm summer day, don’t you love to bite into a juicy, sweet, mouth-watering peach? That’s just what you get when you choose South Carolina peaches. The Palmetto State’s hot days, humid nights, and slightly acidic soils combine to produce the sweetest, juiciest, and best-tasting peaches in the market. Working with Mother Nature, our growers produce tree ripened peaches bursting with juice and flavor.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Followed directions exactly and wound up with a crumbly "cake" that tasted like sweetened cornbread. I'll keep trying using other reviews - may end up being a great base recipe.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed on Dec. 7, 2009 by Amalthea
I really enjoyed this recipe! It was flavorful and not as heavy as other potato soups I've had in the past. I didn't change much, just that since I use center cut bacon I didn't have much drippings so I added a pat of butter. Also, I added the bacon and the cheese and fresh chopped scallions (In lieu of parsley) at the end instead of garnish and the cheese really added to the creaminess. Will definitely make this one again!
