Breakfast Pizza I

Everyone I served this to said it was really good. Used a package of shredded mexican cheese blend instead of plain cheddar. It's what I had. I would think any cheese you have would be good on this.

Very good. Made as directed but did half the topping incredients. Will probably do as directed next time because the topping was yummy.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
At first I wasn't so sure about these. I made as directed. I put the batter into 6 jumbo muffin cups and it sure took a lot longer then 25 minutes to get them baked. Probably had to leave them in for closer to 30-35 minutes! I was afraid the top would burn at 400 degrees for that long but they didn't. My ONLY complaint was the mess these made in my oven. The topping mixture sure made a mess, but everyone said that's what made them out of this world, so next time I will just make sure and put something under them to catch the overflow while they are baking. I sometimes will bake something and take to my son's house for one of his weekly Texas Holdem's card games he hosts. I gave him one of these when he came over after I baked them and he wants me to make them for his poker buddies sometime. He said they would "be all over them". So guess I'll make them for a bunch of beer drinking poker players. These are so good they aren't just for breakfast!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
Oh my was this good! I used fat free half and half. No booze, but added a little orange extract. I didn't remove the crusts from the french bread... that seemed to be to much work:). I squeezed in 8 pieces of bread into a 9x13 pan but did increase the half and half by about 1/2 cup and added 2 more eggs and 1/4 c more butter. Will make this often when guests come into a town. Thanks for this one...a keeper.

Yummy was the word I heard after serving this to my family. Made as written but didn't add the onion and used leftover french bread that I cut into cubes instead of sliced white bread.

BLT Pasta Salad

I was a little disappointed that this wasn't nearly as flavorful as I had hoped. I added shredded cheddar cheese as well to give additional flavor, but it didn't help that much.

This was sure easy and pretty tasty. I used rotisserie chicken, mexican blend shredded cheese and whole wheat shells. Will make it again because it was so simple.

This was not ok the first time I made it because I did not use the chips. It needs the crunch - the salad was a success the second time!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Outstanding - you must try this one! I used sausage instead of the beef - but other than that followed the directions exactly. The white sauce was so delicious I would have it ate it like soup if I didn't have any self control! I don't know why everyone complains about it taking so long - that's the fun part to me!

Blueberry Coffee Cake III

I used canned blueberries and baked in a bundt pan. Didn't use the pecans...but everything else as the recipe was written. Good recipe. The cake wasn't real sturdy. It fell apart pretty easy but tasted very good.

Family all liked this. The only thing I did different from the recipe was I used the microwave to melt the butter and chocolate chips. Much easier way to do it. Thanks, will make these again.

Loved these. Made them as directed, but used crunchy peanut butter because it's what I had. I also dipped my fork in sugar to flatten them. May try some mini-chocolate chips in them next time.

Very good. Something a bit different from the run of the mill chocolate chip cookie. I'm baking them and going to put in the freezer for some summer house guests that will be here soon. Now, it's time to try Mrs. Siggs peanut butter cookies.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Very good, but it did crumble and kind of fall apart. I used 1 cup white splenda and 1 cup of real light brown sugar and it was just sweet enough. Cut the oil down to 1 cup, because the berries had a little liquid in them when they sugar was added. Never had strawberry bread. Will make it again. Thanks

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Excellent pancakes! It was my first time using whole wheat flour so I used 1 cup of the w.w. and 1/4 c. of all-purpose white flour. Instead of blueberries, I used bananas and they were excellent. The leftovers froze well too.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

I was hoping I could put 5 stars, but it stuck in the pan so badly, I couldn't. I made it exactly like the recipe even though I was tempted to make a couple of the changes that others made. But I thought I'd give the recipe a fair chance. Don't know what made mine stick. Otherwise, it was fairly good.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
WOW! Thank you Ann! This was a fabulous recipe -- and so easy to make. If I were able to give the recipe 10 stars, I would. I made it for a wedding shower, and not even 10 minutes into the event, three people asked for the recipe. Since the shower was held at work, and I had to prepare everything the night before, I was afraid to make the tortilla crisps, for fear they might get soggy or stale, or taste like the plastic Ziplock bag I'd store them in. Instead, I bought two bags of the Flat Earth chips (in the regular chip aisle at the grocery store) -- one in Blueberry Patch, and the other in Peach Mango Paradise flavor. The different colors of the chips resembled the multi-colored tortilla chips often served in Mexican restaurants, and paired really nicely with the salsa. (The chips were a huge hit too!) I used another reviewer's suggestion to slice the kiwis and strawberries with an egg slicer. Worked great. Thanks again for a lovely recipe. It earned me a few complimentary titles including "domestic goddess" and "Martha Stewart" of the office. :-)

Green Pea Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2008
Delicious! I substituted cream of onion soup for cream of celery soup and left out the onions. I also used 2 cups of frozen peas instead of the canned peas. The frozen peas hold up better than the canned peas and don't get mushy on you. Great recipe! Will definitely do it again.
