About me:
I am a mother of twin toddler boys. This keeps me very busy. I grew up in a farm family with a mother who had me cooking at the age of three or four. I spent 10 years in 4-H Home Econ. clubs and state fairs. This gave me an appreciation for the subtlties of baking and cuisine science. I spent a year living in France where I learned to love the home cooking of an average Provencal family and how all 5 senses are a part of cooking.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed on May 11, 2008 by J. Tate
Awesome! These are so good and easy to make. I replaced the majority of the butter w/ unsweetened applesauce, used 1 1/2 cups of splenda and 1/2 cup brown sugar, and used 1 cup of ground oatmeal, 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 cups white flour and these were still awesome. Thank you!

Wonderful Banana Cake

Reviewed on May 10, 2008 by J. Tate
Amazing! Was a HUGE hit and so easy. It tasted homemade. I used 3 bananas in the cake, baked it in 2 round cake pans in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. I used 1 tub of whipped topping mixed with banana pudding mix and 1 cup of milk. When frosting, I frosted the first layer, topped with slices of a bananas, put the 2nd cake on, and finished frosting. Thank you SO much!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed on May 3, 2008 by J. Tate
This was very good. I used whole wheat bread and it didn't dry it out at all. We ate this will syrup on top. Next time I will either make with maple syrup or use maple sausage as suggested. I used lean italian turkey sausage to cut the fat.
