Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
Excellent chili! My whole family loved it even my 9 year old who is the pickiest eater I know. Changed a couple things though. I didn't have onions, but used a small can of chopped green chilies. I also used 1/4 cup water and 2 Tbs of cornstarch mixture and poured it into the bubbling chili 2 minutes before it was done, and stirred to thicken it up a little. Will make this again!

Baked Sweet Potato Sticks

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
These were quite good, but I thought they needed more flavor. I'll have to try them with some of the other spice suggestions next time. I also sliced them thinly instead of sticks and I found they cooked very unevenly - some burnt others still wiggly. I'll have to try them as sticks next time.

Stuffed Peppers

Absolutely amazing! I used ground turkey instead and I topped mine with Asiago cheese which went really well. I think next time I will mix it in with the rice & ground turkey. I followed people's advice to cook the meat & rice in one pan and it turned out really lovely and easy.

White Peach Sangria

Everyone who drank this had a hangover the next day, and we didn't drink that much of it. I would not recommend mixing wine and vodka at all.

Guacamole

Perfect recipe! This guacamole goes great in a 7 layer dip, I just leave out the tomatoes because those are found in the salsa.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
My favorite Spinach Artichoke dip by far. To make it even yummier, I use Sun-dried Tomato Alfredo Sauce to give it a little bit of tomato zing. It's a great addition to an already wonderful dip!

Claire's Yummy Crepes

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
I am not very good with using flour, so i just use pancake mix and add milk to allow it to thin out and it works perfectly!! what I'm having trouble with is a delicious inside. I want something with cottage cheese, fruit or cream cheese/sour cream, i just don't know how to mix it all up. if anyone has any ideas let me know! (great crepes)

it's a good idea for the base of a recipe. Instead of the "gravy" using mexican cheese works. for the inside, add your own "extras" i use spinach, tomato and mushrooms(canned) let it bake for the 30 mins, cover in cheese, then another 3-5 minutes is good.

Gizzard Stew

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
It took a lot longer to cook until tender. In my kitchen, 90 minutes. I diced one small onion and added it to the reserved liquid and simmered 15 minutes before finishing step 2. All in all, a very enjoyable meal to prepare and eat. A side salad with it made a delightful meal.
