Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Oh my gosh! This was so good!! My husband said that it tasted like "restaurant quality" barbecue. I made a few changes for what I had on hand. I only used 4 chicken breast halves that were fresh that I cooked on low for about 5 hours. I then shredded and put back in to cook for about an hour more. I used Jack Daniel's original recipe and it was delicious! I also threw in some chopped onion and some molasses. I served with corn on the cob. This will be a regular in my house!

Sweet Pasta Salad

I have to give this one 5 stars for the simple fact that I took this to a work luncheon and everyone RAVED about it. It was a bit on the sweet side for me...but I still thought it had a good flavor!

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
I've never made anything like this before at home so I wasn't sure it would turn out as good as a restaurant veggie sandwich but it was!! So easy too! Its too cold to cook on the grill this time of year so I grilled my veggies on the George Foreman. I used a whole wheat mini sub bread also b/c i couldn't find Focaccia bread.

Chocolate Cherry Chip Cake

This cake turned out really well. I used the milk chocolate chips instead of semi - sweet. I made it for a bake off in a 'cherry' category and came in 3rd, definitley recommended!

WOW this is some amazing bread! My grandson could not stop eating it. I made a dip for it using Virgin Olive oil, dash of oregano, basil, and ground garlic salt, literally heaven on earth. This recipe is going to the front of my recipe file. Can't wait to fix it for my niece who thinks she can out bake me!!!

Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
I modified this a bit based on the ingredients I had. I used ground chicken only vs. both chicken breast AND pork. I used Health Requests Creams of Mushroom, Chicken and Celery. I did not have celery. I also used regular rice vs. wild rice. This is a great, easy, low cost recipe that is very filling and can be easily modified.

My family loves these cookies. These are so easy to make and freeze well and are just as soft and delicious as if they came straight from the oven. A must keep. My daughter and I love getting in the kitchen and making these together. It is wonderful quality time we spend together!

No-Mayonnaise Ranch Dressing

Excellent! I agree with others that it's better after "resting" in the fridge a while. I prefer to use the fresh herbs, garlic and onions so readily available all year round but it's a terrific dressing either way. Krys

Very yummy. I am not sure a whole onion is necessary. I also might have overdone it on the cilantro. I can never find Cannellini Beans, so I subbed Garbanzo beans instead.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe!!! It has made me a star this summer! I've squeezed so many key limes I'm about to have forearms like Popeye!! :) Everyone has loved this pie!! I, too, used 2 full cans of condensed milk and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Another helpful hint... If you let the keylimes get to room temperature, it's sooooo much easier to "squeeze" them. Thank you, AnnRichardson for this recipe! Happy Summer everyone!

Quick Chicken with Asparagus and Provolone

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
This was a great recipe, so quick and easy. However, if I had it to do over again I would have gotten FRESH asparagus and just let it cook longer in the broth. Soggy asparagus is nasty. Also maybe I would have gotten better provolone. I just used some regular packaged sliced kind. I will definitely make again though. The chicken was so tender I didn't need a knife to cut.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

This pie has great flavor. But as a professional baker I followed this recipe to the "T" and it came out with the a filling the consistency of Decoupage Paste. I would highly recommend some revision be made to this pie.
