I was looking to make an oyster chowder but couldn't find one recipe, so I bought fresh oysters and shucked them myself. The were outstanding in this recipe.

In all fairness, I am giving this rating for a concept, alone because I did change some things. My rating is based on the use of the cottage cheese in the recipe. Let me just say yum!

Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This is a pretty good recipe... it is very smooth and rich as it should be. I wasn't exactly paying attention to it while it was on the stove so it might have been on there for two minutes more or two minutes less than what was expected but whatever I did, it must have made changes for the better. All of my other peanut butter fudges hav been too gloopy and thick for my liking... this one is perfect. My only negative comment is how stick it was because of the marshmallow cream. Next time I will use less- I don't think it will matter to the already sweet recipe. :)

Very Easy Shrimp Dip

It really is very easy and it was loved by everyone which is even better. I doubled the recipe and made my own cocktail sauce. Ketchup, horseradish and lemon juice. You can add a little brown sugar if you don't like it too spicy. Just keep adding and tasting until you like it.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
Awesome!!! I have been looking for a new & better recipe for choc. chip cookies and this is it. They come out just as it says. Crispy on the outside & chewy on the inside. My hubby & kids love them! The only things I changed---I omitted the nuts (I prefer my choc. chip cookies without nuts) and I added 1/2 tsp Cream of Tarter (it doesn't change the flavor it just gives the cookie a different appearance). This recipe is definitly a keeper!!

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
This was incredibly good! I used chicken breast since I had them on hand, and mixed some sliced onions in with the mushrooms. This was delicious served with garlic mashed potatoes and California blend veggies. The sour cream gave a different flavor to your typical cream sauce.

Easy Microwave Maple Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I haven't made this fudge yet but am tomorrow. I do have one important question. I will find out the hard way anyway lol but I intend to use mapleine (maple flavoring) which may be stronger than an extract. I will let you know how it turns out. Let me know if this is not a good idea in next 15 hours. thanks :)

Russian Tea Cakes I

These taste fantastic! I made them exactly as this recipe says. They were super easy. The only thing was that I added two minutes to the cooking time and a couple of them still could have used a little more time baking. I used a PC cooking stone & parchment paper & my oven is less than 2 years old, so I don't know why. My DH doesnt like almond flavoring of Mexican Wedding cookies, so I found these instead, and boy am I glad I did!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wonderful! Wanted a little something different to add to my holiday gift baskets & this was the perfect choice. Based on other reviews I made a few changes....used zest from almost entire lemon, half tsp squeezed juice from same lemon, and half tsp lemon extract. After mixing let sit in fridge overnite. Cold dough is much easier to work with, but I still sprayed my hands with Pam to keep dough from sticking. Mine did not look fluffy like photo but were still chewy with crispness on outside. Nothing like fruit loop flavor. Thank you for sharing recipe to this wonderful cookie Lissa!
