Reviewed: May 14, 2008
This was excellent. I think this will now be my favorite asparagus recipe. It's simple to make, elegant to serve, and tasty to eat!

Delicious Ahi Fish Burgers with Chives

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
For me, this was a middle of the road recipe -- tasty enough to repeat, but only with necessary adjustments. Pros: includes veggies (with room for lots more), pretty healthy, unique way to cook ahi. Cons: overall taste is bland (if you use recipe as-is). I think a necessary ingredient to add here is dijon mustard, to enhance the flavor. A little Worcestershire sauce will help as well. Overall -- C+. Give it a try and determine the changes you'll want to make for yourself.

Real Hummus

Yum! So easy and so good. This is a good basic hummus recipe. Can be customized easily. The second go round, I added roasted red pepper. Also good.

Italian Bow Tie Supper

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
I was a bit dissapointed in this recipe. From reading the ingrediants it sounded so good, but after I made it, it tasted bland. I felt like it needed more sauce, and definitely more seasoning. It has potential, but it's not quite right the way it's written.

Did not care for this flavor combination. It didn't go together well at all.

I have never had much success with baking, but I thought I would give this recipe a try. Yeah! I served it to family at a mother's day brunch and everyone loved it! Thanks for sharing.

Oatmeal Waffles

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Great flavor. I used my food processor to blend up old fashioned oatmeal so it was fine. I added 1/4 cup applesauce, 1/4 tsp ground cloves, 2 tsp cinnamon, dash of allspice, 4 tsp baking powder(left out soda, 2 Tb molasses and 1 cup all purpose flour and 2 Tb oil. This made for made for great belgium waffles.

German Red Cabbage

Wow! This was great! I used granny smith apples and splenda. I will probably reduce the splenda so it's not so sweet. Apple provided a lot of sweetness. I also put the onion in the cheesecloth so I could remove once cooked.

Spiced Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Excellent flavor and a nice change for a roast. I made a few changes. Added 1/8 tsp paprika, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper and a couple dashes cinnamon. After browning, placed in 13x9 pan with sauce, covered 2 directions with heavy duty foil and cooked at 300 for 4 1/2 hours. Turned the oven off until I was ready for dinner. Thickened sauce by adding 1 beef bouillin cube and flour over med heat. This made for an excellent gravy with a spicey beef flavor. This will be one of our favorites.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
It was really good. I was very skeptical because brown sugar is not something I would associate with meatloaf. It's easy to make and defenitly something different that's yummy. I followed the reviews and added less milk, added worchestshire sauce and put glaze on top and bottom. I will make this again

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Excellent! I made it made with fat free cream cheese and lowfat sour cream...still tasted great. I did't have a springform pan so I divided it between 2 ready made pie crusts. Baked it for 30-40 min.

Easiest Ever Fruit Cobbler

I don't know what I did wrong, but when I went to move it from the bottom rack to the middle rack, it hadn't cooked at all. I didn't use self rising flour though, all I had on hand was all purpose.

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

This is an amazing recipe! We omitted the flour for a low-carb option, and used our new cast-iron skillet..now newly seasoned. We ran out of fresh parmesan, so we used fresh pecorino romano...very tasty! My almost 3 yr old loved it. I don't even have to tell you what my hubby thought of it. :-)

Broccoli Chicken Casserole IV

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I used 4 chicken breasts, baked seperately and then chopped. I thawed 16oz of chopped frozen broccoli and squeezed out the excess moisture. I only used 1/3c milk and this turned out perfect. 4* due to changes made, but it was very tasty and went over well with my family for Mother's Day.
