Greek Pasta Salad with Shrimp, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Peppers, and Feta

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This is super delicious! One tip I can add, is that it really needs to be tossed in the dressing right before serving. I had it last night for dinner and it was awesome! Today, it isn't nearly as saucy or flavorful as it was last night. So, if you are making ahead, add the sauce right before serving!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

This was very simple, and had a very tasty gravy. I think it needs to cook on low instead of high, the shorter time and higher temp do not give you the tenderness of the meat. Will make again.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
This is certainly the best meatball I have made as far as consistency goes. The flavor could be amped up a bit...but it's great just as it is with a nice sauce. I did not fry them either. I placed in fridge to firm up a bit and then baked for 20 mins before placing in crock pot of sauce. Very good.

Baked Ziti I

This was pretty good. I loved the cheese slices melted into the layers. I also like the saucy-ness the sour cream gave it, but I didnt like the taste of the sour cream. I may try adding a little cottage cheese or ricotta cheese to the mix next time.

This recipe was excellent. I followed exactly, except used 3/4 lb beef and 1/4 lb sweet turkey sausage. I used Ragu traditional as someone else mentioned and it was perfect. The white sauce was excellent! This is a keeper!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I have made this cake twice this week because I had PUDC over Christmas at my families house. The cake tastes okay, but it doesn't look anything like the pictures-mine is very dark, almost burnt looking. But, the cake is not burnt!! Perhaps it is because of the dark brown sugar?!Maybe I am supposed to use light brown? The cake is done and not overcooked, but both times it came out burnt looking. I really want to make this cake, and have it presentable!!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This is a 5 star recipe because it is very simple, requires only 3 ingredients and is tasty. I cooked my pork for 4.5 hours and it shredded just fine. I also used Hunts Original bbq sacue- it is very simple and not overpowering. I have found that when you are serving many people, a recipe like this is best. People can always add more bbq, hot sauce, cole slaw etc.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I have made this pie three times: once a few years ago, and twice this month. The first one was excellent. The second one was way too runny. Even after the pie sat for a day, the filling was running all over when you cut a slice. I followed the advice of another reviewer and added cornstarch to the third one and eliminated the water and I think that did the trick. I latticed the crust and poured the topping over, next time I will toss the apples in the topping and save enough to brush over the top. It will be much easier and cleaner that way.
