Delectable home-made egg noodles are a simple matter of flour, salt, eggs, milk and butter kneaded into a dough, rolled out and cut into shapes. Hint: dry the pasta for 20 minutes before cutting, then dry the cut shapes until no longer moist and sticky.

The fishermen of Bodega Bay, California shared this favorite, quick and easy recipe with my sister during a Fish Festival. It is one of the best chowders I've had, and my kids love it too! We top with bacon bits and a few shakes of hot sauce for a little spice. Enjoy!

Lentils are added to sauteed onions, carrots and celery. Lots of crushed tomatoes and water are added, and the magic begins. An hour later the soup is thick and wonderful and ready for a bit of shredded fresh spinach and a splash of vinegar.
