Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Sliced chicken into strips, mixed with butter and dressing mix. Cooked for less than 4 hours on low before adding soup and cream cheese. Delicious served over fettucine noodles, or even over rice. Delicious! Thanks for sharing!

Easy Pumpkin Cream Trifle

Delicious and easy. Followed the directions exactly, except that I used all the pudding/whip cream mix in between the layers then topped it with plan whipped cream. Shared the recipe with my tennis team who gobbled it up!

Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
AWESOME! I was so happy to find a good base recipe because messing around with different flavors is my thing. The first time that I made these I made pecan pie muffins. I used 3/ cup milk and 1/4 cup apple cider, cinnamon, apple sauce for the oil, vanilla, and candied pecans (pralines). I only used 2 tbs. of sugar because the nuts were covered in sugar. They poofed up HUGE and beautiful. I will be using this recipe for MANY, MANY more variations.

Chicken Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
I've been making a variation of this for years. What I do differently: either use left-over roast chicken, rotisserie chicken from market, or saute chicken breasts seasoned with poultry seasoning, use 1 can of cream of potato soup and just a bit of milk (1/4 cup or less), and one can of veg-all mixed veggies (drained). Bake at 400 for 45 minutes or until browned and bubbly.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Didn't think something this simple would taste this good! Followed the recipe exactly except for using butt cut (sorry...juvenile but I couldn't resist!). Used Sweet Baby Rays Hickory & Brown Sugar bbq sauce. Might try a few drops of liquid smoke added to the beef broth the next time...but it was delicious just as is. Thanks for sharing!

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2009
Made it once as written, and once with some changes suggested by others. Original was good...with changes it was awesome. Subbed 3/4 C brown sugar for the white sugar, added 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp vanilla. Baked for 45 minutes (oven runs hot) and wrapped it in foil when it came out (just like my mom always did). Didn't use the walnuts because I am the only one who likes it that way. VERY moist but not dense and heavy. Good banana taste, and slices and stays together nicely. Thanks Pat for the foundation and thanks everyone else for the suggestions!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Doubled the recipe to use one pound of ground beef. Ran out of ketchup and had to add bbq...so that probably altered the taste a little. Easy, tasty, quick and a nice change of pace. I'll make it again (4 stars 'cause it's not as good as when my mom used to make it :-)

Just what I was looking for! Delicious, chewy. Halved the recipe and spread in a pan a little larger than 9x13 with great success. Omitted the nuts and still very good.

Pudding Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
These cookies taste awesome! I used french vanilla pudding. I can't wait to try other puddings. They were very moist and fluffy too! Yummmm!!! Also, when you drop the cookies down on the baking sheet, however you drop it is how it will cook. It will not expand... or at least mine didn't. regardless of the shape and size of the cookie they tasted awesome, can't wait to try them again!

Amazing! I have made this recipe twice, once as one GIANT cookie and once as individual cookies. Both versions came out wonderful! The only change I made was using sugar free instant pudding, 1 oz. instead of 3.5.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
I made these for one of my best friend's sixteenth birthday, I only used the filling, which was excellent, and "too much chocolate cake" for the actual cup cake. This was such a fun and different recipe! The extra dough was baked into individual cookies and stuffed with, also extra, icing! Yum!

Best White Icing Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
After adding extra water (2 tbs.) and vanilla (1 tsp.), I got it to the right consistancy. I used butter flavored shortening instead of plain, it gave it a yellowish color but looked great with the pink sprinkles I used.

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Made this with a few revisions, just because of what I had on hand. Used pound cake (cubed), strawberries and blueberries, just enough glaze to coat the berries (Marzetti's brand tasted pretty good), only 1 cream cheese and 12 oz whipped topping. Layered it cake/topping/berries two times in a trifle bowl and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Delicious and received many compliments. Next time I will use the 2 blocks of cream cheese and 16 oz. of whipped topping because it needed more. Oh...and I only used about 1/2 cup of sugar. Thanks for sharing!
