Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
These cookies have got to be the BEST choc. chip cookies I have ever had or baked... Everyone that tries them are AMAZED! And the size of them!!! WOW! I use one of those measuring cups that you draw back to the right amount- like a plunger type. All of the cookies come out to be the exact same size and thickness. I usually double the recipe, pre-measure all of the dough and keep them in the fridge until time to bake them. You may need to bake them a couple minutes longer if they're thicker. Also, I use Ghirardelli chocolate chips. They're quite a bit bigger than others. And to me, they taste better. Again... AWESOME cookies! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Allie's Mushroom Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Way too much oil! It was so oily and greasy and yucky. I sauteed the mushrooms in sesame oil and used the entire olive oil on the crust and we had to throw it away. Am goin back to the store and gonna try again. Less oil, more garlic plus I added tomoatoes. The wheat crust is ok but kinda bland. Do not use all that oil. It looked so pretty but take my advice, less is more.

Spicy Maple Baked Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Absolutely the best baked bean recipie I have ever made! Its a staple for every pot luck dinner and barbque I attend. I prepare it on the stove and then let it simmer in a crock pot... the longer the better! I never go home with left overs. Its also an easy fix for family dinner nights, just cutting down the recipie a bit. Thanks for the fabulous recipie!

This is an excellent recipe to work from. I added 1/4 cup fresh chopped basil an 1/4 jar of roasted red peppers and used fresh rosemary the second time I made it and got raves from everyone.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

This is sooooo easy and so good. I doubled the sauce and went a bit easy on the ginger, as it can be overpowering for us. I added red bell pepper, zuchini, water chestnuts, cashews and sesame seeds. I serve this over Jasmine rice, YUM! Thanks for this great recipe!

Chicken Soup II

Great recipe. The only changes were to use fresh sauted spinach (because I had it), a bouillon substitute called "Better than Bouillon" (because I had it) and orzo pasta (because I forgot to get the egg noodles). My husband who is not a huge soup fan said "This is a keeper". Thanks.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
This recipe was great! Everyone I have made these burgers for has loved them, and I have suggested it to several friends who made them and liked it as well. The recipe can be made simpler though, as I do not use the chili powder, cumin, or hot sauce; instead I use garlic powder, and add a couple of seeded jalapenos. Also, others who suggested blending all ingredients are spot on, as it makes things much easier.

Flavorful Flounder

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
I made the recipe just for myself so I calculated the ingredients thusly. I also did not have access to a grill so I baked it for about 15 minutes. The only changes I made was I used a mahi mahi steak and I added some crumbs on top since I baked it. With a baked potato, I felt like I was in a nice restaurant.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

So moist, so chocolaty, so decadent! I did only use 1/2 oil and I added 1/3 cup milk, but didn't change a thing other than that. I'll definitely be making this cake for years to come. It's so easy, and so amazingly delicious.
