Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I LOVE this recipe! I left out the rasins and doubled the recipe. It was better the next day. Next time I make it I will make it the day before. I thought the broccoli wouldn't stay crisp but it did, for days. Also, I used bacon bits instead of actual bacon.

Baked Zucchini Chips

Love These!! I added a little pepper & garlic powder as others suggested, I also sliced them thin to ensure crispiness. Even my daughter who won't touch any vegetables ate some of these!

My family really liked this recipe. Only changes I made were to add a little salt pepper & garlic powder to the cheese mixture. I will definately make it again & I usually don't eat chicken.

Beefy Baked Ravioli

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
My whole family loved this!! Make sure you cook the ravioli first. Only changes were I used pepper jack cheese instead of montery jack. & I made an extra layer of cheese on top. I also cooked it 40 min. to make the cheese a little more "burnt on" my family likes it that way.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I agree with the other reviewers who say don't bother adding any liquid. The roast will make liquid on it's own. I added bottled bbq sauce at the beginning & just let it cook! My first time making pork bbq & I will make it this way from now on.

Cindy's Tasty Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I made this recipe using chicken drumsticks. I mixed all the ingredients together instead of layering. The sauce did slide off while cooking. I just kept basting them w/the left over sauce. next time I will still mix the dressing & jelly, but I will sprinkle the onion soup mix on. My dh & daughter liked it, I thought they were a little bland.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
This was good but way too salty. I want to make it again because it was so easy & cheap. Next time though I will add maybe 2 tbs of brown sugar to balance out the salt, or maybe add potatoes to absorb some of the salt.

I made this recipe as written except I substituted riccota for the cottage cheese. I thought it was bland. Not as good as other lasagna recipes on this site.

Stars and Stripes Grand Finale Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
I prepared this for a 4th of July cookout and it was FABULOUS! I even had sparklers (thanks to my niece) to light as "candles" before we sliced it!! YUMMO!! The only thing I'd suggest doing (for looks as well as taste) is cook the blueberries a little bit - the gelatin layer with the blueberries was a little stiffer than the strawberry layer. Cutting an uncooked blueberry is gold in the center and a little strange looking (to me anyway)! But everyone raved on how festive it looked and it tastes just like a strawberry/blueberry shortcake in an all-in-one pan!
